but he's viscious when it comes to clowning)
matter of fact, i knew the d.e. back when he
was 1st starting. we was both fucking w/ this
cat, damn those were some funny days back
then...like looking at photos of yourself in
parachute pants & bandannas....
but we bumped into eachother years later.
when he heard the "none to die for" beat
he said can he get the hook. 15 minutes
later he spit it to me over the ghetto blaster
& the whole room broke up w/ props.
it's a great hook. a d.e. hook, with his
own angle on things.
matter of fact, that hook holds all the
ingredients necessary: both singing & rapping,
namechecks, including the artist singing
the hook himself, thus plugging himself
in the process, & an innovative take on
things. let that be a li'l 101 in song-craft.

Jus' tryin' ta' get shit out there an get some feedback. I'll spare you the sales pitch, 'cuz I'm confident the music will speak for itself. It's not exactly gangsta' an' it's not exactly so-called "pure" hip-hop, but it is street. Shit is somewhere in-between.
