Flair turned down 250,000 a year to be the Smackdown GM. He was making
500,000 a year before he retired.

WWE feeling slighted that Stacy Keibler wouldn't be a part of WM, started a false rumor that she and Hornswaggle were dating, and released that to different media outlets.

MonstersAndCritics.com has a plug up for the April 14th edition of ESPN E:60: Lord of the Ring: Vince McMahon Famed wrestling promoter Vince McMahon tells E:60 correspondent Jeremy Schaap about being physically abused as a child, about being reunited with his birth father at age 12, and how he changed his name from Vinnie Lupton back to Vince McMahon. He also talks frankly about the death of wrestler Chris Benoit, who committed suicide after killing his wife and their seven-year-old son. Schaap also takes a backstage tour with McMahon's daughter Stephanie, and meets some of the WWE's biggest stars, including John Cena, Big Show, Shawn Michaels, as well as the legendary Hulk Hogan.

The Undertaker doesn't appear to have injured himself after landing on his head after his over the top rope dive at WrestleMania. He was a bit out of it backstage after the match but was still interacting with everyone.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson recently did an interview with BBC Radio1's Edith Bowman. He mostly talks about his movie career. Check out the interview at http://www.bbc.co.uk/

In an article in ESPN: The Magazine, John Cena was featured in an article titled "7 Things You Should Know About Being A WWE Superstar". Here are some highlights:
*1. Writers write, fighters fight.*
"I see myself as an actor, and I choose not to have much input in my story. So I find out only a few hours before the broadcast what will happen. The creative team doesn't know inside-the-ring stuff, though. They tell us who's going to win or be disqualified and we take it from there."

*3. We're more than just action figures.*
"I try to manage my likeness, but the WWE does a lot of licensing, so I end up seeing a lot of products that make me cringe. I'm all for merchandising, but John Cena car floor mats or nesting dolls don't seem right."

*7. I won't bite the hand.*
"A lot of wrestlers reach a point where they feel it's not cool to be in WWE. Not me. I can do movies and work full-time here. Why would I ever say it's not good enough?"

I can only assume that Cena was referring to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in # 7. The two have been going back and forth as of late.

Hulk Hogan appeared in court on Thursday to request that a judge prohibit his estranged wife Linda from allowing her boyfriend Charlie Hill to drive he and Linda's cars and boat. Hulk claims that Charlie drives the vehicles on a constant basis and his argument is that Hill exposes the Bollea family to a tremendous amount of liability. Hill has a history of traffic violations and the Bolleas already have a lot on their plate with the Graziano family.

Hill's former employer, Sheri Stein, testified that Hill has a history of drug use. "He would come to the business stone-high from the night before," Stein said. "He would literally tell me he was doing drugs... I don't think Charlie is the smartest knife in the drawer, to tell you the truth."

Meanwhile, Linda's attourney claims that Hulk's request is merely a ploy to control her and Charlie's love life.

As noted yesterday, former WWE wrestler Andrew "Test" Martin died after overdosing on the painkiller known as "Hillbilly heroin."
The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner out of Tampa announced his cause of death as Oxycodone intoxication as a result of an accidental overdose.

Oxycodone is an addictive ingredient found in the painkillers OxyContin, Percoset and Percoden.

Martin was found dead in his Tampa apartment just four days shy of his 34th birthday on March 14, 2009 after a neighbor reported that he had appeared motionless for several hours.

The pill, dubbed "Hillbilly heroin," was also linked to the death of fellow wrestler "Sensational" Sherri Martel, not to mention Oscar-winning actor Heath Ledger.
Former TNA production manager Randy Ricci wrote an e-mail to the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer in response to Danny Bonaduce's decision to wrestle a match in TNA.

In the e-mail, he recalls a company meeting about the build for the 2007 Slammiversary pay-per-view in Nashville, saying TNA president Dixie Carter was fuming over her people not being able to get in touch with Vanilla Ice, Jonny Fairplay and "some other no-name." According to Ricci, this was the most upset he had ever seen her, to the point that people genuinely looked like they feared for their jobs. Later during the meeting, Ricci jokingly says, "Hey, don't worry folks. I think I may be able to dig up contact info on Bobcat Goldthwait."

"Dixie and the SVP gave me stares from hell and then Don West and Terry Taylor busted out laughing to make it worse," Ricci wrote.

Here is Ricci's e-mail in it's entirety:

"Bonaduce? Cmon. Can you imagine how much this is going to cost TNA? I will never ever understand why Dixie Carter and her SVP do things like this. And trust me, this is all Dixie and her people. Scratch that. I do understand why they think they are doing it.

At meetings close, Dixie projected her frustration about another failure, on her people when she went off about no one getting in touch with Vanilla Ice, Jonny Fairplay, and some other no-name. She was so pissed. This was the most pissed I had seen her up to that point. And people were scampering, pointing fingers and genuinely looking like they feared for their jobs. I couldn't help it. I tried to bite my tongue and I was really hoping it was a joke. I had to say, 'Hey, don't worry folks. I think I may be able to dig up contact info on Bobcat Goldwaith.'

Dixie and the SVP gave me stares from hell and then Don West and Terry Taylor busted out laughing to make it worse. For a second, I was jerky, but then I thought, 'How embarrassing is this? They are bleeding money and Vanilla Ice was going to save the day.

Then there was the infamous Pacman Jones embarrassment, Blago (Rod Blagojevich) in the Main Event Mafia and now Bonaduce. These idiots think that because he was on that Hulk Hogan crappy celebrity's thing that somehow Bonaduce gets a rub. And that this is one step closer to tapping the 'in' crowd. Some imaginary new breed of wrestling fan that TNA is going to develop. How's that working for you guys? You can't even develop any wrestling stars.

I would also love to see how far behind they are on their bills as well. They owe people money that work for them and provide services while they go out into the mainstream media with this kind of crap, alienating the people that work with them, and for them, even more because I guarantee you that what they are spending on this future flop could cover all that back pay. I'm telling you, this is just Dixie and her SVP doing nothing but playing live wrestling dolls."
s reported earlier, Big Show was originally earmarked to take part in the Money in the Bank Match at WrestleMania XXV, but Vince McMahon decided to put him in the World Heavyweight Championship bout instead. Mark Henry ended up taking place in the bout.

McMahon felt they had done John Cena vs. Edge way too many times before, so he changed the bout to a three-way match by adding Big Show to it. Although, weeks worth of angles between Cena and Edge were shot before he came to this decision.
