Well raw chicken is about 65% water, 60% when cooked to 165F, and cheap chicken usually has about 15% salt water / chicken broth added, so for it to shrink to 1/4th that chicken would have to be about 50% fat lol. That'd be some gross chicken, and you'd have to overcook it over 212F to boil the water out so it'd be like chicken jerky in a huge puddle of fat to get it to that point

That's how I use to cook those frozen baggedTyson wings or maybe it was Foster Farms wings I always fuckin forget which one is gross and always has like 50% fat. Always buy that shit and it's like "goddamnit how'd I buy this brand of chicken wings again" then just bake that shit til all the fat and water boils out of it and they shrink like 1/4th to what they were and turn crispy. Then they're pretty good... well not really "pretty good" but better than following the instructions.

I can't eat those frozen bagged wings anymore they literally make me sick eating those things, they fell off big time. They used to be kinda hyphy now they actually truly do make me sick. I'd rather just buy wings and make my own now

Pretty sure it's the Foster Farm wings are the gross ones. One time the entire bag which is almost 2 pounds, 1.75 pounds of wings was 5 wings. 5 chicken wings dude... WTF

They were huge like pretty much wing drummettes the size of drumsticks / turkey wings almost. They must've been wings from some old ancient steroid chickens the meat was fucking dark grey looking and like rubber, and each wing was like 65% fat and skin it was so disgusting I just started feeling a chill and getting pale and got a light sweat just thinking about it and think I'm going to puke... I didn't eat them I took a bite and had to throw it all away, so gnarly. I bought frozen bagged wings a couple times since then but that pretty much ruined them for good the past 2 years it's been hit or miss like that, with some nasty rubbery super fatty disgusting wings

But tyson isn't much better... every now and then the "Anytizer" ones are decent you gotta feel the bag though and make sure they're the smaller normal size wings from young chickens that still taste like good white meat and aren't too much fat and skin, those ones are good when you overcook them like I typed earlier

Damn Iv'e typed way too much about wings lol
