I've been buying old albums like crazy on the amazon cloud app on my phone. As long as the internet exists I'll have all of the stuff I buy forever without worrying about my CDs degrading.

Latley I bought

Kieth Sweats album that had twisted and nobody on it
Messy Marv disobayish and bandannas tattoos and tongue rings
two illeven ounce of game
Playaz association, velvetism and 3 beam circus
The rompilation
my favorite songs of stupid doo doo dumb
Dubee aka sugawolf and dangerous prospects

I havnt bought alot of new shit but I did buy Freddie Gibbs-ESGN and 100s ice cold perm even though I probably could of gotten both of them for free on datpiff.

DJ Fresh, I bought all of your Making The Song Cry mixtapes on iTunes. Got the one you did with T Nutty, & the Mitchy, the yuk, the messy one too. I only buy the albums that you do with rappers that interest me. Too many new rappers not enough talent. As far as what I have bought lately, 2 lavish D albums dropped this past week and I bought 1(Disrespectful) slaps. Then he dropped the next one (Molly World) and I was glad I did, cause shit was good too. I think Lavish would make the most of the opportunity if given. I think you and Lynch would make a classic. Your styles are both different, but I think it would be cool to hear him on some different beats. Or you could make another song cry, I'll buy it.

You want people to buy your cd, you are marketing to the wrong people.

Most people on Siccness are experts on music selection and probably wont buy your cd if it ant mobb related...........

You want CD sales, As a Sales expert, I suggest you try marketing to high school kids and girls and have some major label calibration on your cd. Push a Mtv video with a Hit single and market your personality like crazy on WSHH and other main stream web sites. Wont hurt if you start hanging around A+ celebrities and getting into some kind of trouble with the police...Its all about the image, if you want to push major numbers and sell music. It is rarely about the quality of music. Just ask any platinum musician now a days............

The money is in how well you can make your image appeal to the young venerable crowed.......AKA highschool kids.

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of Trae the Truth.. I would consider that factor when trying to analyze the sales per region.. Your beats are always dope, but nowadays the average consumer won't physically purchase a CD or even pay for it online just for beats.. obviously there are acts from other areas who are somewhat "universally liked".. Ex. From what I hear and read on this board, there seems to be a lot of anticipation for the Tonite Show with Freddie Gangsta Gibbs... I guess no matter who it is,there will be people who truly enjoy their music and people who do not..
I purchase music if I support the artist n their movement, but also purely based on the music/talelent wise.. I can't really remember the last album I actually purchased though to be honest.. It was sometime late 2013. From the artists I reallyfuck with, there has not been anything 'exciting' enough to go buy.. Recently just been mediocre "so-so" shit that I download and half the time regret wasting my time even downloading for free.. lol

last album I bought was Rick Flare cut the check. I wanted to support his fam after he passed away and proceeds was supposed to go to his fam, underground frisco legend. Lately I support artists from going to shows and buying merch if its dope.

Yo DJ Fresh - the posters in this thread represent the vocal minority on this board - those who actually still actively buy music/albums. the non-vocal majority on here illegally download the fuck out of most of if not all their music.

FWIW - me personally I subscribe to Rdio. $10 a month is well-worth the convenience.
Tried looking for those song cry mixtapes for free but couldn't get it. Payed because fresh is that good on the boards. All of the other ones I heard him do with rappers are in heavy rotation round the web. You are right

I think you would have a certified slap if you and DJ Quik collaborated Fresh! By the way, that instrumental you did on Making the song cry 1 where you sampled The Deele Shoot Em Up Movies was CLASSIC

Back in the day I used to starve at school and save my lunch money all week to go buy a CD .. I would buy random CD's just cause one song had a feature from a rapper that I liked on it... This is the reason I bought albums from B-Legit, Mac Dre, Brotha Lynch, Turf Talk, Dubee, First Degree, Dru Down, ect in the early 2000's... but Youtube and Spotify fucked that up.. last albums I bought probably was in 2010.. E-40 Revenue retrievin Day shit and the Nas Damien Marley album
