For all of you suggesting collaborations is cool, but what cds or digital albums did you guys last purchase ? All these are great and i love em but im curious to see who's actually the music lovers and true supporters. The last project i did with Trae The Truth i was expecting more sales from the bay and suprisingly more from LA, San Diego, Sac, and the least from my bay folks it wasnt that great everywhere else supported it alot more which is still all good maybe yall just over looked it but its a dope one. But im just paying attention to how yall are consumung music these days? All love.

Re-purchased: Deadly Threat Siccinahead, DJ Pooh Bad Newz Travelz Fast

1st time purchase: P.E. Most of my Heroes Still Don't Appear On No Stamp

Real rap tho - everyone know the game done changed. Yes the machines are still able to set records with buying power but overall the game ain't the same. If someone know how to get it for free they going that route 9 times out of 10. I can get in the ride, plug the phone in and stream clean uploads of albums all over the net, that keeps me from buying easy to access music and keeps me from wasting storage for music. We know a lot of artists eat off the shows not the albums if they really eating off music at this point. I think its time for artists (aside from the usual suspects in the mainstream) that have a solid following to cross promo market their music. If doing Sprite commercials or music for them is selling out (I don't see it that way- its business), then get business deals with people or organizations and products or services that have the same interests in mind. I'm not saying an artist is not entitled to eat off their music but technology has changed it and I think the money is still out there regardless, just in different avenues. If you are eating off albums more power to you, get that dough, but I would think there is more money out of valid commercialism (a product, service, or organization the artist believes in and vice versa) and shows. Are artists handing out free albums to people attending the shows or is it only additional merch selling? Maybe make exclusive stuff avail to only people at shows and then the full albums for sale at a later date. Idk, just throwin ideas out there, who the fuq am I to say. Taking music business and actually being in the game are 2 different things, I get it. Easier said than done but its up to the artist and their team to sell it creatively.

I buy underground stuff and vinyl. If I see something used that I don't have at a decent price I'll pick it up. I bought that dj paul and lord infamous reissue that came out a couple weeks ago. As far as new big releases I quit buying them few years back. I buy stuff at shows. I probably spend $50 a month on average on music. 5 years ago that was $100.
