I could never really get into DJ Quik's music. He has a few songs I like of course but overall I mostly found his stuff boring.

Then again I was never that big of a fan of the music coming from So Cal in the era he came out of.

Oddly enough while I'm a fan of funk on it's own I'm not a big fan of funk infused rap which I'd say a good portion of his music falls under.

It just sounds really corny to me for some reason, why I don't even know.
