Pikmin is also an honorable mention in terms of originality, not completely original tho.

Scribblenauts & Little Big Planet.

Came out more than 5 years ago but Mr. Mosquito was pretty innovative.

How can anyone forget Portal, I loved that game.

Finally remembered the name, Cubivore was pretty crazy, I think Spore took some inspiration from it.

They should have spent more time polishing this game.

The camera sucks. The hit detection is off at times and the platforming is a chore. It's an ok game, I'm glad I dumped my preorder but for $20 it's cool.

Another thing I don't like is how you have to load levels to get back to earlier places. Not good at all.

Just beat it.
I thought it was a great game, but I've been a Castlevania fan since NES so my opinion is biased. I will get any Castlevania game that ever comes out.

The camera angle can bug at times but it's not too bad.

My only complaint is that the final boss was too easy.

No spoilers.

I'd say about 80 hours.

I would find as much as I could in the levels and would go back through the level again (with online help) to find gems, etc. that I missed. Then I went back again and did the trials I knew I could beat (not ones like beat the boss in 2 minutes) just to gain more experience points so I could unlock all the relics, powers, combos, etc.

So I basically played it out to the max (skipping the insanely hard trials).

Also, they are working on 2 DLCs.
First rumored to release in Feb and the second in March.

They are already working on a sequel to this game as well.

So if you like the game don't sell it just yet. There are going to be 2 downloadable expansions.

i heard this game is better when you ignore that its a part of the castlevania series.. because castlevania belongs in 2D.

but i got my hopes up when i heard kojima was involved with the project. so far the majority of reviews i've seen have been disappointing.

Cuzzo, I can't play this game for 80 hours. I've heard of people putting in similar hours, but I can't do it.

But to everyone else reading who is interested in this game, give it a shot. Don't go in looking at it from a Castlevania pov, a GOW clone, etc. Just go in looking at it from an action/adventure pov and what you expect from a good action/adventure game.

Ya, it's a really long game but the story is good so it kept me intrigued.

I grew up on RPG's so 80 hours isn't much.
I expect to pay a dollar an hour.
To get 80 hours out of this one was worth it.

Not like I have all the time in the world either. This was the only game I played and it took me months to beat. I got it the week it came out back in October.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK NO!

I grew up on rpg's to but there is no way in hell I'd play this game for 80 hours and guess what happened to me a couple of hours ago? I suffered the game save glitch. My save for this game has been wiped clean. I was playing the campaign on paladin, and had everything I could possibly have as of act 7(all combos, weapons, special items, etc) and went to play it and BAM! No data.

To hell with this game.

you should youtube the ending^^^ (post credits)
Nah. All the grinding, backtracking etc went bye bye. I don't want to hear or see no goddamn Castlevania Belmont family Dracula killing shit. I don't want to have ANYTHING to do with this game right now.

I'll pick this back up if the world is still around in 2012. Tuesday I have Dead Space 2 and Dead Space Extraction to play, not to mention I have to cop LBP2 next week and still need to put in time for SSF4.

You try Vanquish yet?

^^^Nah, haven't been at home to play anything the last few days.

This is my next purchase anyway... http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-a120-71-dw-49-en-84-j-70-3ydq.html

then DDP-DFK Black Label, Muchi Muchi Pork, Idolm@ster 2nd Vision, Catherine, Gal*Gun, Dream Club Zero, Ketsui, Arcana Heart 3... so yea, my game queue is packed. By then I would imagine Vanquish's price tag will be fairly low.

Damn, I didnt even know that bug existed till now.
I guess they have a patch for it though.

That sucks.
I don't know what I would do. Probably take a lot of time off and then get back into it much later down the road.

It's happened to me too. Not with this game, but with others. Shitty feeling.
