The Guardian is reporting that British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB), bought a package of channels from the Living TV Group (previously known as Virgin Media Television) yesterday for £160 million. Bravo is one of those channels, which is TNA's TV home in the UK. British Sky Broadcasting has announced that Bravo is too similar to its own cable channel, Sky1, and that they are shutting down the channel. TNA aired on the network on Saturday nights.

TNA Executive Vice President Andy Barton made the following statement today, regarding the UK TV situation…

"Following the acquisition of Virgin Media TV channels (now rebranded as The Living TV Group) by Sky, there has always been the possibility of fundamental changes to those channels, including Bravo. However, we remain confident in TNA's position due to the outstanding ratings enjoyed in 2010, and our long term contract with the Living TV Group."

Since you posted about TNA wrestlers this is relevant to the topic.

Kodo Fuyuki died.

Hashimoto(not a death match wrestler and I have no idea why he is there) and Kanemura pay respect to Fuyuki. They do so by running into exploding barbwire while holding what I can only assume is a box containing Fuyuki's ashes :ermm:

We can now confirm that Aloisia (Lindsay Hayward) has been released by WWE. She will begin taking independent bookings soon.
I'm guessing WWE won't make an official announcement on this.

And you talk shit on what happens on WWE and TNA?

For real... most of this shit is stupid.
I talk shit about their "wrestling" matches. this is a comedy match
and I guess even comedy in wrestling is too much for you to grasp. I suppose headlocks, rest holds and jumping around like a gymnastic class would make it less stupid, right? :cheeky:

RIP Gran Naniwa

He died a few days ago at age 33 due to heart problems.

Not big enough to deserve his own RIP thread but still worth mentioning.

He has never had huge success or any real career defining performances but this is probably my favorite match from him.

Dude did have the best entrance music

Sawa is the HOTNESS! (no homo)

Dude has so much talent and is an amazing in ring personality. He had a fantastic match with Danielson at an Evolve show and he just always pumps out a good match. Sawa just loves to entertain, he wants to remain Mr. Indy wrestler. He turned down multiple Jr. title runs from various companies because he didnt want all that lime light.

One of the best matches of 2009. anyone can watch this and enjoy it. fast paced lots of stiff action.
