i know alot of peopel way worse off than you, family troubles and ssi.

1) be the bigger man and work it out with your fam
2) get a job, a hustle, or somethin
3) go out and find somethin to do with ya life EG: go to school, some shit

sometimes its hard to overlook your current situation.
At the same time that situation is current and not perpetual. So feel any and all emotions that come at you, just get that shit out of the way, ON YOUR OWN, so you don't transfer your own personal bullshit to those close to you, as they are most likely friends, family and loved ones. Depression is fear turned inwards, quit being scared and handle any personal issues by thinking about them and how YOU can stop doing what you don't like. Any and all of your actions don't make you, they help grow the person you already were. Basically if you feel sad go get drunk, listen to some blues, shit cry if you feel like it, just tackle that shit head on and quit being afraid of yourself.

Bad advice. Alcohol is a DEPRESSANT. And if you're DEPRESSED, that's the last thing you need. Not to mention if you're depressed and suicidal AND drunk, that's a VERY dangerous combination.

^I basically meant deal with it however you do it, because people all have their own way of coping. Obviously if you are suicidal you shouldn't drink but we are all supposedly grown here, I would expect most here would have the common sense to use discretion on alcohol.

Got ya. My apologies if I misunderstood, but I had to point out that alcohol and depression is a dangerous combination.

fear is the root cause of your sadness.
check a psychiatrist and see if they can prescribe you some xanax or any other benzos.
When on them if you feel worse smoke some weed and they will kick in.
anyway when you become less fearful with whatever tools work for you, make sure you use that temporary time to make amends with things and people from the past.
time to move on

Benzos are typically prescribed for anxiety disorders, such as generalized anxiety, social anxiety, or panic disorder. Anti-depressants (e.g., SSRIs, SNRIs)are prescribed for depression. In any case, medication may help relieve you of some of the symptoms associated with depression (e.g., insomnia, loss of appetite, etc), but it is no cure. Seeking counseling to ultimately treat your depression would be a better choice, in my opinion.
