what are using for an interface if you arent using the 002?
i'd like to know also... i remember a while back youngmoe said that he loved the ungodly shit out of his digi002

my korg triton isn't being used for its intended purpose, and i havent used my roland JV-1080 sound rack in awhile.... i'll probably put that into use sometime soon though

i got a korg DRV-1000 digital reverb that i got for free which hasn't been used at all... it's basically just there to fill in some rack space

just wanted to bump this

anyone not using any of their hardware sound modules? I'm looking to get one in the price range of about $0-200. I just need a basic one, I'm into looping and live guitar playing right now and I thought it would be cool to use one of these to drop some weird sounds and what not from time to time.

I'm into conjunto, funk, and rap production. So what I do is get an electric guitar for $200 and an amp for $100 thinking I would be able to get into it....I ain't too good at it so now I find myself playing my accordion and 12 string alot.

I got a pretty nice set of electronic drums. I got them setup but I just can bring myself to get on em and play em. I don't even have the brain hooked up right now. They just sit, sad really.

Hey thanks for the offer but i'm looking at a k2000 and a epsm. I'm not sure what to get between those two. I want something smaller like a proteus, but I might be able to use some of the sampling capabilities of these racks as well.

idk much about the K2000 but I have the keyboard version of the EPSM. It should be noted that it doesnt really have any preset sounds that come with it. You can buy floppies with sounds though. It is just a straight sampler. Just keep that as FYI also it will be harder to find parts for it when and if it breaks. If you want to get an ensoniq rack sampler do yourself a favor and get an ASR10 rack they go for about the same price and offer everything the EPS does in the same way plus some. Keep in mind the ASR10 was the upgrade to the EPS series.

Yeah I figured I would have to sample or buy some sounds but i'm cool with that. Man, everyone has the keyboard versions; I need something compact that I can take with me to gigs and just hook up a korg padkontrol to it.

ASR10 looks really good but so does the kurzweil 2xxx series. And then again, any of the synth racks (nord, waldorf, emu, roland, and access) are fair game too.

I know i want to do this because I've been using my iphone synths + guitar to make some sick ass music haha and I think having an actual synth would be less cumbersome instead of the iphone.

I just haven't ever owned any hardware synths so I'm really a noob at this stuff.
