and the fact is WWE owns the name and images blah blah blah
Warrior owns the name. Other guys from that era did not stand up to them in court through years of litigation, but he did. Guys after that now sign contracts different to ensure WWE's ownership. They reached a settlement where they both can use the footage of him after the years of court litigation.

Warrior gotta pay thousands now cause of the lawsuit lol....ended up losing for even suing them cause of this DVD.
Part of their settlement regarding name ownership, was neither side could say negative things about each other. Warrior sued after the DVD, but said negative things about WWE during litigation to the public, so the judge ruled they canceled each other out.

My bad i meant he lost cause he ended up paying for their lawyer fees... not lost the actual lawsuit

Back on September 18th, it was reported that the lawsuit that Warrior had filed against WWE back in January of 2006, in regards to the Self Destruction of The Ultimate Warrior DVD, is over. Judge Douglas L. Rayes ruled that Warrior could not sue for damages over WWE's comments about him on the DVD because Warrior made "publicly disparaging claims" against WWE.

Judge Roslyn O. Silver made a ruling yesterday that The Warrior will have to pay WWE's attorney costs and expenses in defending themselves against the breach of contract lawsuit. Warrior will have to pay a total of $18,967.46.
