His Hideous Heart posted a link to download their new EP on their myspace, there's also a link to donate if you want to. I think physical copies that they're going to personalize will be available in about a month, and it'll be on itunes.

I like it, the girl in the band is gone now but they really stepped up their songwriting. Casey and Andy from The Dear Hunter also produced it.

I've been listening to this a ton since I got it wednesday. It's like what Cursive could've kept sounding like after Ugly Organ, but with a lot of oldies influenced melodies. Weird/good indie rock.

I haven't really posted anything in here lately that I don't think most of you haven't heard of before. So here is something.

Skeletons are a experimental band from Ohio that now reside in NYC. It is lead by Matthew Mehlan and a few other main members with a constantly rotating membership of guest musicians for each album. I really don't know how to describe there music so here is a quote from Pitchfork:

An outsize global-a-go-go mélange of unceasing polyrhythms, Afrobeat guitars, free jazz, and Timbaland's approach to kitchen-sink percussion.
With all that said I'd say at the base of their sound Skeletons is a strange indie rock band.

This album is called Lucas and was put out in 2007 under the name Skeletons and the Kings of All Cities. It's my favorite album by them but I own them all and think each album is great. Plus this album has maybe the worst album art I've ever seen besides Black Moth Super Rainbow's "Dandelion Gum."

Yeah, Goodie Mob's and Outkast's debut CD's have always been two of my favorite albums in any genre of music ever. Both of those albums you can listen to front to back on repeat.

Give me a few and I can shoot you both of those albums.
