I don't knock him for taking this fight. No need to come back from such a long layoff and take an extremely hard fight .. my problem with this is that Winky put himself in the position to have to take this fight. He was offered several good fights while he was sitting out and decided to take none of them. Hopefully Winky can get his shit together and get back into top 10 fights.

Agree 100%. Wright is one of my favorite boxers, but it's real frustrating to see offers given to him, and him decline because of money, or whatever reason he offers. Just fight. I don't believe in just giving a fighter a big fight...earn that shit. I don't want some chump hopping over a fighter I like to get a title shot, so why should Winky?

Hopefully he can get back in the mix and get a title shot in the near future.

I don't like Darchinyan myself but taking out Kirilov and Mijares both by KO in back to back fights is highly impressive. He always puts on an entertaining fight and his left hand is lethal. Forget Arce right now .. Darchinyan vs Montiel needs to happen for complete unification and it would be a dope ass fight. Two hard punchers going at it and Montiel can get a decent paycheck.

It's no different than how his father's career started. I don't think that Jr. will ever be as good as his dad but he's being compared to JCC's entire career. You want to know who JCC was fighting at 38-0? He fought 9-13 Benny Abarca .. a guy who he had beat 11 fights ago.

Neither of them had much of any amateur career (if at all), Jr. was just popularized faster because of his name.

Vic picked up some defensive skills, so its hard to say. Imagine if he got a great trainer like Roach and worked on his right, then we've got something special.
