The sad truth about it Brugh, that's where the real money is at. If it was so good on the independent end of things, nobody would bitch about being over looked or ignored. Read between the lines when it comes to a lot of artist who claim they are doing good independent. They, then turn and bitch about majors ignoring them.

I'll give it this, back in the day....to stay independent was a good thing. Today, it is not. Quit looking and reading into old blueprints and get your eyes off the rearview mirror Homie. There was a turn up ahead that you missed and you are now on the wrong road.

Okay, granted that artist like Ice Cube have gone back to being independent, but c'mon...Ice Cube? LOL!!!! I honestly wouldn't really consider him too independent. There are not many places (as in business, banking etc etc...) that will close the door on that man (like they would to any Joe off the street claiming to have talent and plenty skills).

As far as sell outs go, any real man would put his pride aside and think of his family first before thinking of any muthaphucka on the block telling him to keep it real. Most got kids to feed and coming from a father of 4! I'll keep it real to them before I gave a shit to what anybody else thought. Due to the fact that if my underground fans were honestly that loyal! I wouldn't be in the need of a major handing me big money to sign that dotted line!

Mockery of the game? LOL!!!!! More of a mockery than what went down at the BARS awards?

More of a mockery that over half of so called business men and talented rappers have no real credentials? Other than faking it with fake jewels and claiming to have all this money, but are fucking renting an apartment?

I think you should look deeper into how many people are actually making a mockery of the game.

For any man to accept to take on a job to feed his family is no mockery my friend. It's like most people having a regular 9 to 5. Most people are not happy with their jobs, but the kids need to be fed, and clothed, so if the money is good, I will take it...yes!

I don't know what happened at the last BARS Awards but more than likely it was some Monkey Business goin down.

Aint no need to look deep while in shallow water. I got a box full of wack ass up and coming & established rappers. Real shit, the Bay Area Rape Game needs an Enema. Some of u niggas got it but some of u niggas need DHL applications.

If you rap, state your name B, that way as a consumer I'll know that you're willing to go out the CB4 route in order to feed your kids. I feel you, aint nothin realer than feedin ya seeds... But I'll be damned if I let Def Jam make me wear lipstick, Blue contacts and a pair of xtra tight Bugle Boy jeans.

Right on Brugh. I can respect your opinon. Just be aware that most ppl around these parts don't take too lightly to different opninons, but it's gotten better since I first joined LOL!!!!
