ZAK has been making music for the last 6 years, working on his craft and was born and raised in Washington state. He started out making hip-hop, but over time that has evolved into, what I like to call an “Alternative R&B” sound grounded in hip-hop. This time spent in the studio and performing has helped really focus in on his sound and message. This first release is a great example of where he’s at, and shows a piece of his potential in regards to making enjoyable and unique music.
The song is produced & engineered by Slydes, who has produced for DonMonique, Bankx and many more. This song is the anthem for those late nights when your working and chasing your dreams although you wanna be somewhere else laid up. It shows a good glimpse into ZAK’s mind and ear for melodies and wavy instrumentals. This track is the first of many to come over the next few weeks, but a great introduction to what he’s got on the way.
