Hot! Turk To Be Released From Prison In October

Hot Boys’ Turk will finally be released from behind bars.

The rapper, who was once signed to Cash Money Records, is due to leave prison in October, following a seven year spell inside for drugs and firearms possession.

According to sources, the federal prison in Arkansas has given the New Orleans, Louisiana rapper a release date of October 12, 2012.

Turk has been incarcerated for almost seven years, since 2005, when he was convicted of a number of drugs and firearms charges. The convictions stemmed from an incident which occurred in 2004, involving a shooting which took place when police attempted to raid his apartment in Memphis, Tennessee.

Turk was a member of The Hot Boys in the late nineties and early noughties, rapping alongside Cash Money Records affiliates Lil Wayne, Juvenile, and B.G. Between 1998 and 2003, the crew released a total of three albums. Turk also appeared with The Cash Money Millionaires and has been featured on the Baller Blockin soundtrack. Furthermore, Turk had a number of solo releases, notably dropping a 2001 album through the famed Young And Thuggin label. He had a total of four self-released albums, the latest being 2006’s Convicted Felons.
