The 26th Annual Boston Freedom Rally

This weekend marks the 26th Annual Boston Freedom Rally. This years event as always is organized and operated by Norml and MassCann. The goal this year is huge with 65,000 Signatures needed to secure the Vote in the 2016 November Election to Legalize Pot in Massachusetts. If you follow Siccness Radio, then you will know the host of his self titled Thursday Night, Whitey Bulger Show. If you listen to the show and read the blogs you’ll know that he is an advocate of the 420 movement and is also from Boston.

The Boston Freedom Rally is held every year at the famous Boston Common. For those unfamiliar it’s our mini version on New York’s Central Park. Or as a Bostonian like my brother would tell you, They meaning New York Copied us meaning Boston. But in more colorful language. The Boston Common is home to the famous children’s story Make Way For Ducklings and also the famed Boston Swan Boats. At night there is a change in the air. And after the last few winters around here people are not ready to give up summer. The other change that’s in the air is one of Social Justice. Many stands alongside the legal and non legal users of Weed in everyday ailment’s. Regardless of politics or religion. We can all agree the War on Drugs is an utter failure.

This years Rally includes Speakers and Artists from across the country on two stages in the heart of Boston. The weather has been unseasonable warm which only seems fair after the winter these North Easterners faced last year. As the leaves start to turn brown turn up this weekend for dope music and a great cause. Well over 100,000 people will pass through the event this year.
