Hot! SOUTH BAY VETERAN EMCEE PERSIA RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM ONLINE AT WWW.PERSIAMC.COM

February 14th, 2012-SAN JOSE, CA  South Bay Artist, mother of four and half of the femcee duo The Mamaz-featuring the skilled Oakland representative Aima the Dreamer-will release her debut album “American Me” on April 1st, 2012. The album will be released on www.persiamc.com and can be purchased for the price of $10.00. Persia has performed all over California, and has gained a strong following in various parts of the Bay Area. On top of that, Persia is an immigrant, originally from Iran, and this album is a reflection and celebration of that experience.

“ This was also a very powerful experience for me in exploring how far I’ve come as an woman from the Middle East being fully immersed in American and Hip Hop culture.  I can say without a shadow of a doubt that my whole heart and soul went into this project, and I’m proud to deliver it to the world”, remarks Persia. Persia has been a staple and foundation creator for the South Bay Hip Hop scene for many years. She founded the promotions company Blowin’ Up Underground Productions in 1997, and proceeded to throw a series of successful events throughout the Bay Area. The events would help lay the foundation for generations of the Hip Hop scene to follow. She has since focused on her family, but is returning to the scene with a banger that has received nothing but positive reviews. The album release was kicked off with several powerful events in Oakland, San Francisco and her hometown of San Jose.

The album’s title references many aspects of this concept. The title track delves directly into this concept while the rest of the project emerges as more of a reflection of the Americanization process. The album is received as classically structured Hip Hop with multiple hits. Whether it’s on the scolding hot lyrical track “How You Want It”, or the beautifully orchestrated track “Good Life,” with the talented songstress Dria Thornton. Persia delivers 100% quality on every track.
