TMZ has reported that Rap Star Soulja Boy is now facing felony gun possession for a pistol found in his house during a search back in December.
The L.A. County D.A. has announced in the midst of the Soulja Boy vs Chris Brown spectacle, that the young rap artist will be charged with 2 felonies — possession of an assault weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He has also been charged with a misdemeanor for receiving stolen property. LAPD has reported that 1 of the guns seized in the search of Soulja’s house was reportedly stolen from a cop car.
The assault weapon charge is for a Mini Draco AR-15 … which is illegal for anyone to possess in California.
If convicted Soulja could face more than 4 years in prison.
