For well over a year, there have been rumors of both Nipsey Hussle and Dom Kennedy, both Los Angeles rappers, signing with MMG.
Nipsey Hussle has had a profound impact on the mixtape scene over the past few years. Working with the likes of Snoop Dogg and Game, many have touted Nipsey as next up in the West. After helping Wale and Meek Mill gain their footing, there is no question that Rick Ross could do the same thing.
Earlier today, there were several media outlets reporting Nipsey Hussle signed with the parent company of Maybach Music, Warner Bros. Records. XXL reached out to Nipsey Hussle for a statement. Responding via text message, Nipsey Hussle admitted he had spoken with Maybach Music, but no contracts had been signed.
