Nicki Minaj’s ‘Boss Ass Bitch’ Freestyle Leads to PTAF’s Record Deal

Nicki Minaj didn’t ask PTAF’s (Pretty Taking All Fades) for permission before she ended 2013 with a remix over their popular song, ‘Boss Ass Bitch.’ Still, having one of the biggest rappers in the game jack your track isn’t necessarily a bad thing. PTAF benefited from the extra attention, and they’ve signed a deal with Capitol Records as a result.

PTAF — comprised of Kandii, K Duceyyy and Alizé — signed a single deal record after ‘Boss Ass Bitch’ caught the attention of Eesean “E” Bolden, an A&R for Capitol Music Group.

The original ‘Boss Ass Bitch’ was a viral hit in 2012. On YouTube, the song has since hit more than 11 million views, thanks in more than a small part to Minaj’s touch.

The head Barb congratulated the girls on their recent come-up by posting news stories of their record deal via Instagram. “I posted the last 3 posts just to post this. Lol,” she wrote. “Courtesy of Hip Hop Wired. Sometimes u just gotta laugh. Pray for wisdom. Pray for growth. Everyday. Congrats PTAF. May u continue to shine!” She also shared the news reports from Bossip and XXL Magazine.
