Off their national tour this spring with reggae sensation, SOJA, Los Rakas release new music with Major Lazer right in time for summer! Track #7 from the “Watch Out For This (Buyame) Remixes” EP, Raka Rich and Raka Dun go in over the Buyame track which originally featured Busy Signal on the “Free The Universe” album from earlier this year.
“What do the people want?” they ask into a salsa-sample laced electronic call for: “Desorden” (Translation: Mess or Disorder). This hot mess of a track brings Los Rakas into a new season, with the duo returning to New York City on July 10th for the LAMC (Latin Alternative Music Conference), playing SummerStage alongside Fat Joe, while playing dates nationally and internationally.
Forthcoming album, Los Rakas are “El Negrito Dun Dun & Ricardo” – double discs representing each distinct style of duo Raka Dun aka El Negrito Dun Dun and Raka Rich aka Ricardo – is set to release later on this summer. First single, “No Tan Listo” dropped via MTV Hive back in April.
