Hot! Murs Dishes Out Advice To Up-And-Comers

West Coast rapper Murs has been offering some words of wisdom to the next generation of Hip-Hop stars.

In an interview with XXL Magazine, Murs passed on some sound, if a little bizarre, advice.

He was keen to stress the importance of avoiding future problems by taking present precautions, in an effort to limit a build up of expenses. In particular, Murs said that rappers should remember to maintain a good standard hygiene whilst touring.

“Always brush your teeth before you pass out drunk on the tour bus, because alcohol and IHOP equals roots canals, and they are expensive,” he said. “Even with insurance. Buy income property with your first or next big check. That way your tenants pay the mortgage while you’re out touring.”

Murs isn’t the only rapper to have seen fit to hand out advice of late. Last month, Yelawolf spoke candidly about label contracts, and offered his own take on the situation for younger artists.

“My advice to other artists is um you don’t really f*cking need a label anymore, you don’t need a major label, you don’t need none of that sh*t,” he said. “If they’re not absolutely working as a promotional company, as an engine to promote your music every single f*cking day — when you sign a contract, you better be d*mn sure they have obligations to work your sh*t.”
