Hot! Mobb Deep’s Prodigy Plots Collaboration Project With Jim Jones

The release of Prodigy’s third solo album, ‘H.N.I.C. 3,’ is less than a week away and fans are still holding out for a Mobb Deep project, but according to rapper, he has his sights set on a collaboration project with Jim Jones. Prodigy recently revealed that he’s been talking with Dipset rapper about putting out a joint project, and the two have agreed to linkup for a mixtape.

According to Prodigy, the idea for a collaboration album came about after the two rappers had been told several times that they look alike. “To tell you the truth, I’ll let something out of the bag. Me and Jim Jones was talking about doing an album together, because everybody was like, ‘Y’all niggas like twins.’ Every time we go out and standing next to each other, people say that about us,” Prodigy told Vibe.com.

Jim Jones isn’t ready to commit to a full length project, but Prodigy confirmed that the two would at least tackle a mixtape. “We was just talking. I had done that song on his album when I came home. We was talking and I was like, ‘Yo, let’s do an album together.’ He was like, ‘Let’s do a few mixtape joints and see how people are feeling it out and let’s try it.’ That’s something that’ll probably be happening,” said Prodigy.

Prodigy’s third solo record is currently slated to land on July 3rd and while Jones doesn’t have a feature spot on the album, the two did join forces last year for the Dipset rapper’s album ‘Capo.’
