“WARRIOR”
The Caribbean Songstress will follow up her well-received single “Warrior”
with the release of a passionate project dedicated to her “Team Warrior” fans
Kris Kelli, one of the industry’s most buzzed about artists on the rise, is set to unveil her highly-anticipated new mix tape dubbed “Warrior,” in dedication to her worldwide “Team Warrior” fan base. The Block Entertainment artist recently released the project’s single “Warrior” – an anthem of survival and motivation – to positive reviews, spurring even more interest in her upcoming 8-song mix tape that blends a versatile mixture of club bangers, island swag and soft ballads.
“I’m stepping out in a bold way. ‘Warrior’ is more than a mix tape, it’s a movement. This is an audio documentary explaining what a warrior means to me; what it means to go hard every day despite trials and tribulations,” explains the Jamaican beauty. She joined forces with producers Geno of Oakwood Productions, and Planet VI for an edgy, urban, “island pop”, dub step kind of sound you’ll only get from Kris Kelli. The project is a follow up to her first mix tape “Sell Off,” hosted by DJ Kash (V103 Atlanta) and released in 2012 on Block Entertainment. The effort introduced Kris’ powerhouse vocals and creative range to the masses.
The Caribbean singer can’t wait to share her new music and admits her favorites include the single “Warrior,” the edgy dancehall-esque “Work It Out,” and the sultry “Like A Drum” guaranteed to be an instant hit. Kris Kelli says teaming up withBlock, CEO of Block Entertainment, has been a great experience. “It’s really good to be working with someone like him. He’s thrown himself into the project – living, breathing and eating it – working with me to convey the movement to the world. We’re going to make history together,” notes the budding artist.
The talented singer does it all for her worldwide fan base affectionately known as Team Warriors. She recently awarded her #1 fan with an all expense paid trip to Jamaica. “Her name is Joy. She goes super hard for me and I had to show my appreciation. I love my Team Warriors! They blog about me, post my songs and are always supporting the movement,” the singer gushes.
Kris Kelli plans to release a sensual visual for the song “Like A Drum” from the mixtape in the next month and is already working on more new music to unveil after “Warrior” drops.
