Back in 2005, Suge Knight was shot in the leg at Kanye West’s MTV Video Music Awards pre-party at the Shore Club in Miami. For some time now, it’s been suspected that James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond was involved in the shooting, but now, due to a federal informant, details of the shooting are revealed and the informant in fact says the hit was ordered by Jimmy Henchman.
As reported by The Smoking Gun, a longtime Henchman associate, and now cooperating witness, who is a former cocaine trafficker, has told federal investigators that he shot Suge Knight at Kanye West’s 2005 VMA party and claims he got the orders and the gun from Jimmy Henchman who was also at the party.
According to TSG’s report, “immediately following the shooting, the witness reports, he and Rosemond fled the Shore Club together, adding that Rosemond paid him $10,000 for the shooting (the motive for which is not further detailed by federal officials).”
The Henchman associate and now cooperating witness is referred to as “CW-3? (confidential witness-3) in the court documents, and “CW-3? is one of several former Henchman associates expected to testify during the murder case of G-Unit associate Lowell “Lodi Mack” Fletcher.
This is the second time in recent memory that Henchman has been pinpointed for ordering a hit as the former Hip Hop mogul ratted himself out as part of his deal with the Feds, and admitted giving the order for Tupac’s 1994 shooting at Quad Studios in New York.
