Father Of Lil Poopy Star Of “The Rap Game” TV Arrested On RICO
The father of Brockton child rapper and reality show star Lil Poopy was among dozens of people arrested during a federal gang and drug raid that took place on Thursday, according to authorities.
Luis Rivera, who according to investigators is known as “Fat Louie,” was included on a list of 50 people who were arrested and charged in federal courts in Boston on Thursday morning. Rivera, 33, is accused of being a part of a network of numerous leaders, members, and associates of the 18th Street Gang, the East Side Money Gang and the Boylston Gang, the Enterprise reported.
Rivera was charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine and cocaine base. A grand jury indicted Rivera after evidence was presented that he was in possession of 280 grams or more “of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine base,” according to the indictment.
“It is alleged that these individuals were responsible for fueling a gun and drug pipeline across a number of cities and towns in eastern Massachusetts,” according to a statement issued by the office of U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz.
Rivera, who was arrested previously on drug charges in Brockton in 2013 in another sweep focused on gang operations, is the father of child rapper Lil Poopy, whose real name is Luis Rivera Jr.
