Music veteran DJ Doo Wop is pleased to announce his 20th Anniversary & Live Mixtape Concert taking place on May 7th2013 at Stage 48 in NYC. The concert which will be headlined by Jadakiss, AZ and Smif n Wessun, will also feature performances from Royal Flush, Jeru The Damaja, Mic Geronimo, Channel Live and many other surprise guest performers. Hosted by Ed Lover, Doo Wop’s Live Mixtape Concert will also feature a guest DJ set by Hot97’s own DJ Mister Cee.
“When I first started making my tapes, I never imagined I would still be going strong 20 years later” said DJ Doo Wop. “Not only was I able to leave my mark in the mixtape world, but I got to tour with some legendary artists including the late great Guru of Gangstarr”
The Live Mixtape Concert is being produced by Eagle North America & 238Beats Entertainment Group and is the first in Doo Wop’s “ Live Mixtape “ series. The Live Mixtape tour is a series of “mixtape” themed shows featuring Doo Wop and a group of handpicked lyrical icons. The performance mirrors an actual mixtape including intros, freestyles, live mixing, performances etc.
“I wanted to do something different, more creative that the usual, generic rap shows people are used to” explains Doo Wop. “The Live Mixtape Tour is a non stop, action packed performance that keeps the audience engaged, from beginning to end”.
