Hot! DJ Carisma, Young California Set To Bring Iconic Showcase To Los Angeles Featuring Rising R&B Star Teeflii

The Power 106 DJ and Founder of Young California prepares to introduce TeeFlii’s undeniable talent to the masses with a highly-anticipated musical event

LOS ANGELES, CA (July 15, 2013) – DJ Carisma, LA’s Power 106 FM resident deejay and founder of influential lifestyle brand Young California, is set to present a much-anticipated showcase featuring upcoming R&B star TeeFlii (EML Entertainment) with the esteemed 1500 or Nothin live band. The musical event sponsored by BMI will take place Wednesday, July 17th inside the iconic Roxy Theater, located at 9009 West Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, with special invited guests DJ Mustard and award winning producer Jason “Pooh Bear” Boyd.

“People are going to be blown away…they’re going to get chills when [TeeFlii] sings his slow R&B jams and dances. They’re going to leave like ‘Damn!’” says DJ Carisma. As a trailblazer in connecting deejays, artists, and musicians across California to share the best music coming out of the West, the LA native explains the significance of this event: “On the West Coast, we’ve had a bad reputation in Hip-Hop and R&B for the last 15 years, so it’s important to present events like these to showcase the up and coming talent we have. I can tell TeeFli’s got it…he’s bringing a new twist to R&B. And this event is special to me because it’s the first time I’m doing a showcase like this,” notes DJ Carisma.

As the co-founder of Young California along with DJ Amen, the industry veteran is at the pulse of underground and mainstream West Coast music, and no stranger to breaking new artists including New Boyz, YG, Cali Swag District, John Hart, DJ Mustard, Iamsu!, Problem and Honey Cocaine. DJ Carisma has helped grow Young California into a trusted source for entertainment, new music, undiscovered talent, hot events, shows and more, from the Bay Area to LA to San Diego and in between. “We united ourselves and got radio personalities from each station throughout California to get involved and put out new music from these young cats in the game. The success we’ve achieved means everything to me. I know I’m meant to do more, to keep turning artist’s careers into careers. Being a female, married woman and mother in this business…it mean’s a lot,” she explains.
