49ers Tight End Bruce Miller Arrested & Dropped From Team
San Francisco 49er Bruce Miller has been arrested for assault. the San Francisco police confirm that the 29-year-old fullback was arrested in San Francisco Monday morning.
Police Say, Miller allegedly tried to check into the Fisherman’s Wharf Marriott Hotel on Sunday night but was told the hotel was full. Then he returned Monday morning and knocked on one of the guest room doors.
The guest opened the door and informed Miller that he had the wrong room. That’s when police say Miller began attacking the guest. The guest’s father, who was also staying in the room, came to his son’s aid, then Miller attacked the 70-years-old, punching him in the face.
The 70-years-old also suffered broken bones. Both father and son were transported to the hospital. Miller fled the Hotel but was later apprehended and arrested by San Francisco police officers.
According to jail records, Miller has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon – not a firearm, 2 counts of making criminal threats, and battery.
The 49ers announced Monday that Miller has been released from the team.
