aight iv finally decided that im ready to take the final steps of gettin my bike.iv been wantin one for years but have never really gotten the motivation/money to get one,and i jus flat out asked my dad if he'd like to help me out on tryin to find one,and give me tips on insurance and shit.and as i expected my dad jus started jibbin about abunch of shit(he used to ride and probably hates the fuckin idea),so i said fuck it,no hard feelings, ill jus figure this shit out for my self.so i guess my question is.do any of yall have bikes?i went to the dmv and got all the booklets, now i gotta figure out insurance and wuts the best deal.another thing is i may have to take a small loan out to pay for the bike?anyone have any experiences with this?can i (22/m)jus go to my bank and sit down with someone and have a serious conversation about getting some money?or is there no way in hell that anybodys gonna talk to a young adult.biggest reason for gettin this bike though is to get around san fransico and not deal with parkin.and also to hit top speeds and try gettin some poon on the side.

so anybody got any stories of getting bikes, friends gettin bikes,or anything regarding bikes.

im plannin on gettin a ducati monster 600/700

^^Heres a pic of my little crotch rocket ^^

You should take the CC Rider course...it waives the DMV driving test, then all you have to do is go to the DMV and take half of the written test. ( If you don't already have your M-1 )

As far as financing its a lot harder to get financed for a bike, than it is a car, so your credit score will have to be pretty high...they consider motorcycles as 'luxury' items...I have no idea why. Your best bet is to just take out an 'all purpose' loan and pay for the bike like that.

As for insurance...go with McGraw...I've been with them for a few years now, no problems...and they're the cheapest. Eastwood Insurance is one of their brokers, so you could go to one of their offices and sign up for it.

BTW Monsters are dope...nice choice. Good luck ! Oh yeah...I have a helmet & summer jacket for sale !
