Leo should've won an oscar long time ago.. I think he fucked some jewish dude's sister/wife/cousin or girlfriend. You know Hollywood is basically run by jewish people, they're connected!
My friends wife is connected in this Industry and told me face to face that that's basically the case. He doesn't kiss their ass and they just don't get along basically because he's a real motherfucker.

Thought this shit was whack. No real story development outside of Leo getting fucked up from literally beginning to end. Would've liked to see more on how his wife and village was fucked up - but they didn't really develop that.

Ending also sucked.

I don't know - I expected more outside of Leo basically getting fucked up from beginning to end.

I finally saw it. Hardy did an excellent job because i hated him the whole movie. The ending was weird but that is to be expected considering the director. All his movies end kind of awkwardly. Recommend you check it out if you haven't yet.

Good movie. Really entertaining.

I'm gonna say though Leo wasn't even the best actor in this movie let alone the year. If anyone should be upset about being snubbed it should be Tom Hardy for Legend, that's far better acting than Leo in The Revenant, Matt Damon for The Martian and so on and he wasn't even nominated for it.
Not to get off topic and hijack this thread but, man i had high hopes for Legend. Started off with a lot of potential and then just when completely left and turned into a shitty love story. I agree 100% on Tom Hardy being snubbed. The movie was a let down for me but his acting was top notch. I put it up there with Bronson, a truly gifted and versatile actor

Yeah the movie itself wasn't all that great but his performance was. I guess that's part of the deal when it comes to Oscars, like Marlon Brando once said it's just luck of the draw, how good the director and editors happen to be, etc.

I didn't think Leo had an Oscar worthy performance here, a number of people could have played the part just as good if not better. He'll win though simply because he hasn't won before.

Sounds like Leo will win like a make up call by the refs...shoulda won it in years past, now he gets it as a "oops, our bad!". That sucks.

Hardy is a full on gangster though. Love his work. Bronson is still one of the best acting performances in the last decade IMHO.

Perhaps best director, Alejandro G. Iñárritu.
