First episode was good. Everything in the jail felt so real, just regular guys doing their daily jobs and all the little details that go with it.

This dude fucked himself so bad lol. But there were little tiny clues pieces of evidence I caught throughout the episode that you could see his lawyer might catch

Yeah I loved it man. I keep reading a bunch of people calling it boring, but it could seem like a real life scenario. Dude just took x and did coke (probably for the first time), had the wildest night of his life and wakes up to that.

Also be honest, how many times did you rewind to that fucking deer head trying to find a difference in the before and after?

Ah that's a good idea, I watched it live so no rewind.

There were a few small details I can remember but his lawyer will have to be fucking awesome with all that evidence stacked up against him, plus just being a Paki Muslim is bad enough for him.

I didn't think it was boring at all, it was attention to details showing stuff we normally don't see in crime shows, all the little things each person doing their job does, they don't give a fuck they just want to go home like everyone else with a job.

I just watched 2.5 episodes and wantend to come here and make a thread about it.
So far it's really good IMO. It's very slow paced but (so far) they pulled that of really well and I really like the pace and all the little details everywhere.

I lol'd so hard when he was read his accusations and those two black dudes where like "damn son!"

The ending was a disappointment in terms of the murder mystery/whodunit portion of the show but I thought it was perfect in how it depicted what being falsely accused of a crime can completely alter someone's life even if they're not found guilty.

Nas went to prison a guy who had likely only done drugs (save for adderall (amphetamine) to study) that one time, hadn't really been in trouble, was going to college etc. to a guy hooked on smoking coke and was about to start recruiting in prison for dudes to get their wives to start smuggling.

Turned into more of a snapshot of the system with the DA fishing for answers she wanted to hear and getting expert witnesses on the stand saying whatever she wanted them to say, an about to retire detective giving up on the investigation and breaking protocols once he was certain he had enough on Nas etc.

I still think overall it was a really good show. I'm hoping they leave it at that to be honest and not come back with a "we were just joking he's part 2" because the it did well ratings wise.

Probably they will do a second season and now charge that white dude so we get a nice comparison on how a minority gets threated by the system vs a white dude.

Oh man I hope not. I hope they leave it as is. I just watched the whole thing the last few days and thought it was great but it should be done.
