I think this might have been the best ep to date.
I thought the retro USA sitcom gimmick would only be a few seconds but then they kept running with it. Got me hoping the whole ep was going to be that. Oliver Stone already did the sitcom parody in Natural Born Killers but the 90s USA branding was great. They used the actual music from perfect strangers (or family matters?) when cutting to the first commercial break.

Was the guy who got injected with whatever that stuff was by the Chinese, was that Angela exbf? or just the guy who gave that dummy the malware cd in S1?
Im interested in where Angelas character is going and if she goes full rotation and just aligns with Ecorp.
The sister is still annoying. I cackled like a bastard when sitcom mom slugged her in the face (twice).

Basically it was predicted he was institutionalized weeks ago. I thought it was a great episode but the payoff was spoiled because
The siccness is the only forum Ive gone too to discuss this show so that was very much off my radar. I was assuming the crazy kid decided to move in with his abusive mother because hes crazy.

But it all made sense at the end.
Still many questions.

I had made the mistake of coming here before watching the ep, reading the revelation and was still surprised by the outcome.

The fan theory predicted after like episode 2 was correct lol
Basically it was predicted he was institutionalized weeks ago. I thought it was a great episode but the payoff was spoiled because I was already looking at it like him being in prison or an asylum was a good possibility
That theory came from the first episode . This was my post after the 1st:

If the current theory about Elliot is correct, about his true whereabouts, damn that's some brilliant writing and directing to pull it off.

Thing was, something happened in episode two or three that made me think the theory was not true, can't remember what it was exactly but I threw it out the window as just a cool fan theory that made some sense so I was surprised it ended up true. Well, right around the white Aryan Nation dudes appeared I was thinking again in my head that maybe it is real.

My biggest problem with this show is characters whispering so quiet or a scene trying to establish how intense it is by making the background noiose EXTREMELY LOUD or characters whispering really quiet during an EXTREMELY LOUD montage

Maybe your surround sound or something I don't have that problem but I just have the TV speakers.

Last couple episodes were dope!

So apparently, the locations that Elliot tracked Tyrells phone to, is a very rich area. Why would Tyrell not be there like the driver implied? One Reddit theory I saw is its Scott Knowles house, certainly the last place Tyrell would be given he muted his wife. So the theory is that Scott is calling the fine broad with the lips to a) make her suffer like he's suffering and b) see if she will spill the beans on Tyrells location (but of course she doesn't know where he is but Scott doesn't know that) or maybe c) he has Tyrrell and is torturing him (doesn't make sense how he would have got him though). Anyways, I like that theory a little. I definitely think he's alive and Mr Robot is definitely keeping things from Elliot (what is phase 2? Etc).

I thought it was odd that he was freaking out when Mr robot was in control. I thought this was already established when he realized who Mr robot is and what he'd already done earlier.

I think he's freaking out because they are like glitching out. Normally when Mr Robot takes control Elliot is completely unaware. Now there are times when he can see Mr Robot in control. Some theories I read is there could be another "operating system" breaking through, so there is a third Elliot we haven't seen yet. That's just a theory though on why he's glitching out.

Has anyone seen the zoomed in frame by frame of the final scene? Looks like Cisco got blasted and Darlene probably didn't get shot or if she did in the arm

I don't think the Dark Army would want to kill Mr Robots sister, shoot some think Mr Robot may even be leading the Dark Army. We know at least Phase 2 is his plan and they are going ahead with that plan.
