The show 'Millenium' was created by Chris Carter of X-Files fame and stared Lance Henriksen as Frank Black....it ran for 3 seasons during the late 90's and although I didn't watch it at the time, I recently bought the box set and it is fucking incredible. The first season starts as Frank cracking serial killer cases, typically with paranormal influences, but come season 2 begins to morph into a much bigger theme.
