Lone Survivor

I'm gonna definitely check out this movie, I was in the same place Operation Red Wings happened in Kunar Province in Afghanistan for 16 months, I got there 5 months after all this happened.

Got goose bumps when I was sitting in the theater a few days ago and the trailer came on.

Just got done watching this. Great fucking movie, and I usually don't really care for war/military films. Mad respect for folks in special forces.

RIP to the many that didn't make it home.

I used to shoot artillery at Ahmad Shah all the damn time, dude was target number 1 at the camp I was at. Its tripping me out like crazy seeing Ahmad Shah named in a Hollywood movie. Dude was basically my platoons obsession for 16 months.

I've been wanting to see this since I saw the trailer a few weeks ago. Looks sick as fuck.

Nah, he was basically a ghost, we fired at intel saying he was at a place and it would always turn out we would barely miss him.

This movie is a trip, I wonder if this is how WW2 and Vietnam vets feel like when they watch movies about places theyve been.

Gonna definitely watch this movie tomorrow.

First and Foremost to @InfamousICON MAJOR RESPECT for putting your life on the line for our country and fighting in the battlefield for us. I don't ever see myself being in the Military/Army/Seals etc. etc. but I have MAJOR RESPECT for those who have went and fought for us. Secondly, The movie was fucking AWESOME! I found a DVD-Screener yesterday and watched that shit this morning and was hella drawn into it, everything seemed as real as I could imagine it would be without me ever witnessing the shit. Dope movie though I HIGHLY SUGGEST going to see this weather you gotta Download it or wanna go to the Theater.

Good movie. Story is a bit innacurate though from what I read about it (dude says there were about 200 Taliban when in reality it was probably 8-10).

In this case Hollywood went by the guys book, Marcus the survivor. Who as it seems stretched the truth a bit (Im not complaining, makes for a better story that they fought off 200 Taliban vs 10).

I read the book, I think Hoodratmatt sent it to me in jail(forever appreciative brother), it was a awsome read, but turned into a GWB dick sucking medley in the end.

Same here. I couldn't put it down. I remember reading the majority of it while I was substitute teaching in a middle school AVID class. I just walked around the room the whole day reading the book and somewhat monitoring the students. I wouldn't have done that if they weren't an AVID class and highly motivated to get an education. I definitely want to see the movie, too.

Good movie.... Seen the screener on XBMC, my wife and I really enjoyed it! It was very heartfelt seeing all the actual photos of the soldiers that had passed in the real life event. It was also crazy seeing the picture of Marcus Luttrell with the Afghanistian man that saved his life at the end of the tribute. RIP to each and everyone of them, maaaad respect for every soldier resting in peace and still alive!

I just finished watching it. I thought it was actually a pretty bad movie, corny as fuck.
