B @butcher the food descriptions never sound good to me. I personally could use less of them. The Child Porn stuff is strictly the TV show. That's the producers fucking up GRRM's fine work.

dude daenerys was 13 in the book, dude was talking about how khal drogo was "pumping her cunt and filling it with his seed", talking about how sore she was cause he was constantly taking her all the time. plus all hte other younger characters like arya and sansa are under constant sexual harassment and threat of rape, other nameless characters are always getting raped and shit. dudes a fucking neckbeard weirdo with disgusting fantasies honestly, the show did everybody a favor by aging a lot of people up. i looked past all the weird shit because everything else was really cool and compelling but now im starting to get pissed at this dude for wasting my time. this might end up as one of the most colossal writing / tv blunders in history if it ends like shit. breaking bad got a lot of shit for its "fan service" ending, they basically had to just end the show because it got way too big and they had to play it safe and back away before they fucked it up. i think GoT will be in a far worse position come the end

^^ Yeah the TV show is going to end horribly. I don't think I ever followed a show that ended well. Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, SoA, The Shield, Justified. They were all great shows but the ending was not up to par.

i liked sopranos ending.

Most premium cable series have terrible endings.
GoT will probably be no better.

I also liked the Sopranos ending, but totally understand why others didnt.

I didn't like the Sopranos ending, not because of the fade to black and all that, but because it just seemed so ridiculously out of character for Tony to just fuck up so many times at the end there

one of the theory vids i watched dude read most of GRRM's other series and a common theme is a deceiving hive mind race so he thinks the children of the forest & the guy who put bran in a tree are prolly full of shit

That's the way it was back then. Of course it's fantasy but GRRM is a historian and his books are based on specific time periods and influenced by real events. Young girls grew up a lot faster in those days, getting married at 12-13 was perfectly normal (and still normal to this today in some places of the world). I don't think its sick and twisted to write about sexual situations that are based on reality. His universe he created it's obviously based on the mid ages where this was the harsh reality people had to endure. That's why people love his writing, it's history mixed with fantasy. He's a fantastic historian.

Of course for TV it's much better everyone is older, they have to be or almost all of the plots would have to be drastically changed or cut out.

lol right, and i guess there were dragons and fire mages and zombies "back then" too right? This is a fantasy universe... and he's fantasizing about some foul shit. Fucking GRRM is a fat slob I can't believe the winds of winter isn't done yet, what a lazy fucking piece of shit. How many characters are there? 250? I wonder how many more he added lol fucking another 30 characters to the series that will never end while he's still alive.

I clearly said it's history mixed with fantasy (thus the Dragons and shit). Nearly all the battles, all the clans and family feuds, the crazy events like the Red Wedding are based/influenced by real events and most of the fantasy is based on centuries old folklore. You should know that man.

I want his books to be finished too and I probably agree that this whole thing got out of hand for him and he's been struggling to find ways to finish, but he certainly wouldn't be the first writer to have that problem and it doesn't take away from the great work he has completed.

All the accounts I have read of GRRM's writing process paint a picture that he gives absolutely no fucks about the tv show. His actions state it loud and clear too. He isn't writing because of the show. The show is possibly a mock up of his outlines. If you are waiting on the latest book, possibly look up his other sci-fi work. He has a ton of stories published.

On the other hand if the guys who are making the show didn't race through the books and didn't insist on one season per book we'd still had a few seasons to go before catching up on GRRM's writing
