Stannis also hugged Shireen before she burned. There's never been any incendental contact between Shireen and her parents?

Or is it no longer contagious because she was "cured"?
Well she was cured of it or whatever. I don't think she's contagious. From my understanding it's super rare to stop grayscale but somehow Stannis was able to, he went to every Maester and healer he could find and eventually they had success.

Jorah is a different story. They did focus on them touching, but can the queen of Dragons be infected? Or perhaps it has some different kind of effect on her, maybe it will make her go mad and turn evil like the many crazy Tygarians before her.

It would certainly be ironic if the Mother of Dragons was covered in scales.

It would also be an interesting twist as Daenerys beauty his clearly been a source of her power (Drogo, 2nd Sons). If she was ugly she never would have married Drogo or had the 2nd Sons at her disposal.

Interesting, so D&D were told by George R.R. Martin told them Shireen dies, so it was likely a spoiler to the book.

"When George first told us about this, it was one of those moments when I remember looking at Dan and I was just like, 'Ugh, it's so horrible, and it's so good in a story sense because it all comes together,'" Benioff says in the video. "It's really all come to this. There's been so much talk about King's Blood and the power of King's Blood, and it all leads ultimately, fatally, to Shireen's sacrifice."

Damn I just read a major spoiler somewhere totally unexpected, really hope it's not true for the final episode but god damn I hate people that do that shit on purpose.

Anyways, besides that some cool ideas floating around in my head I'd like to see in this next episode and next season. Gotta agree with B-Buzz @B-Buzz about showing more of the Ironborn, after reading more of a feast for crows this past week I'm sure they will focus more on the Greyjoy's next season, some really cool stuff that would be awesome to see on TV, a Kingsmoot surely.

Yeah there's a lot of people that got even more upset than me about Stannis and are threatening to spoil shit for the show watchers. Should probably avoid the internet until Sunday.

The casting call for next season got leaked and it sounds like at least Euron's going to be there. There's been like a 3 year campaign to have Mads Mikkelsen play Victarion but I wouldn't be surprised if they cut the character and combined it with Euron

Holy shit that would be fucking incredible! No way that happens though, too good to be true.

So I hear they are dead set on finishing the series in 7 seasons. If so next season is going to cover so much, I fear it's not enough time and a ton of stuff is going to have to get cut out. Idk it's a tough call, I haven't read dance of Dragons obviously yet so I'm not sure but I'm thinking two more seasons just isn't enough time. They will be forced to rush the final two seasons, makes me nervous.

I know we've talked about this in past seasons but when this is all over there is going to have to be some movies made, so much cool shit they can do pre-game of thrones. I can't see this ending with HBO, I think this created such a huge fan base they can continue to make stuff set in this universe for years and years to come.

This week's the end of A Dance W/ Dragons. The only plot ahead of the book right now is Stannis, and I guess Tyrion since he hasn't reached Dany yet. Supposedly GRRM's doing everything he can to get the next book out before next season so everything isn't spoiled

It's the end of Dance and Dragon's? I was under the impression they weren't finishing it in the show this season. Well that's going to make next season interesting to say the least because presumably they'll start shooting before the release of the book. I wonder how they sorted that out.

Yeah. Jon, Dany, Cersei, Reek & Arya are all about to be caught up this week. Sansa, Littlefinger & Jaime are entirely different from the book. Brienne, Sam, Davos, Tyrion/Jorah/Daario and whoever else I can't think of all have moderate deviations but can be caught up in a scene or two. Bran & Rickon were caught up last year.
Stealth @Stealth I grabbed the two Stormlight books today. The 2nd one is a monster, peeked in the back and saw 1300+ pages. Hope I can plow through it like I could with ASOIAF

First book starts off slow but gets insane. Second book is the longest book I've ever read. 1300 pages hardcover is probably unprintable as a paperback.

You should get through it faster than ASOIAF. Way less detail about sigils and sweet meats and more stuff going on with the plot. If you make it to the second book, you'll be obsessed.
