So, for a person that's never seen Breaking Bad(ME), do you need that context for this show??

I know, gotta get on Breaking Bad!!!!
Yea Breaking Bad was the shit, and when you get to Better Call Saul, you will appreciate it more, and the little details will be fun to spot out.

Plus you will probably be able to binge watch a season of Better Call Saul, by the time you finish BB.

Glad i caught up to this. Watched both last night and enjoyed much more than i thought i would. The cinematography and writing are on cue with BB.

Really intrigued about Chuck...whats his deal? Why is there no power at his house? Electromagnets? How do they work?
He's become one of those loonies that believes electromagnetic hypersensitivity is a real thing. So it seems he's gone off his rocker a bit, thus no cellphones, power, etc. Tonight's episode showed a glimpse of the man he used to be, a successful and powerful attorney who bailed Saul out. But we already knew he was once successful and a lawyer, just that tonight showed us how much of a fuck up Saul was and how he saved his ass.

After 2 episodes so far so good. The show has a lot of potential. Definitely intrigued by the Chuck and Slippin Jimmy back stories.

Since this show occurs before Tuco is killed in BB, I wonder if they are going to integrate Walt and Jesse's storyline in cameo roles from Saul's perspective.

My only complaint so far was the scene in the desert where Saul is trying to convince Tuco not to hurt the two gingers. The scene seemed very forced and almost cartoonish with the silly back and forth between Saul and Tuco. I think the writers were trying to establish Saul's innate negotiating skills but it came off to me as a scene for forcing character development.

It's on Monday night, 10pm.

They kinda threw us off because the premier was on Sunday after the walking dead, and the second episode was the next day on its regular time.

But yeah, third episode was great. I read some people thought it was slow and just ok, but I disagree. A lot of stuff happening, and of course Mike's emerging role was dope.

Funny how scenes are viewed so differently depending on the person. I thought the Tuco scene in the desert was awesome. There is supposed to be a bit of comedy in this show, so naturally some of the dialogue is going to be over the top. But that scene showed us Tuco really isn't that bright (just a mean SOB), and of course Saul's naturally negotiating skills. I loved the line when the skater sao d he's the worst lawyer and Saul replied I just talked you down from a death sentence to 6 months probation...I'm the best lawyer ever! Haha

I was kinda hoping this whole season would have Jimmy and Mike talking shit so they could keep teasing what it is that finally makes them work with each other. I guess now they'll just do that with what turns Jimmy McGil into Saul Goodman.

if anyone was wondering, Jimmy's in downtown Chicago jail when Chuck comes to bail him out. And there's a huge argument online today about what a Chicago Sunroof is lol. I've never heard of it and all the urban dictionary pages that say it's putting your junk on someone's head were created today.

episodes keep getting better & better.....I really think the first episode just rode the Breaking Bad wave and had people liking it cuz they're getting at least a piece of the show they love back, but the two episodes after have been real good. I love the way BB was shot, they use some real different angles and Better Call Saul is shot in the same way. Even their musical montages are tasteful.
