lol holy shit the UFC is shady as fuck.

Remember when the UFC announced Ronda vs. Meisha III after Ronda crushed Bethe? Apparently they changed their minds. They just announced Ronda vs. Holly Holm, what makes it fucked up is they didn't even tell Miesha, she found out through the media LMAO

Miesha was apparently already training and her sponsors were also under the impression she was fighting Ronda. Damn they fucked Miesha.

Miesha Tate's manager 'shocked' and 'disappointed' about Ronda Rousey vs Holly Holm UFC 195 title fight news - MMAmania.com
What a joke.

You guys see the fight when Holm was just getting the shit beat out of her and the ref was like fuck it, if she dies she dies?

Against Mathis. Was like watching a snuff tape it was brutal.

Of course Holm went on to avenge this loss in a rematch winning a decision but still, this is who the UFC is going to have Mrs Baddest Man On The Planet Ronda Rousey fight? What a joke. Holm was on the downside of her boxing career and barely just got into MMA, she's way too inexperienced. Here is the result of the fight - quick 1st round armbar. Shocking. I don't think Holm has even been on her back yet in MMA. So stupid. And then we get to hear more talk about how phenomenal Rousey is and how beating Holm is just further evidence that she can beat Mayweather.

they want to throw all the undefeated's at Ronda right now to capitalize on her celebrity. she's pretty huge right now and that Rousey vs Holm card will probably be all female.

her last PPV was the biggest of 2015 (so far) and she was pretty much the only draw on the card. she sold more than McGregor and he had good help, and a ton of promotion. she brings in enough casual fans to shit on anybody in the UFC.

Undefeated against who though? She's 2-0 in the UFC against no namers, one of which was a split decision, and another 7-0 outside of the ufc against no makers and no hopers before she got a contract with UFC. I understand the UFC is trying to capitalize off her popularity but still, this is a bogus fight. Holm has no business fighting Rousey. Not now anyways, at least have her fight someone halfway good.

there are good fighters in womens BW, it's just none of them are good at stopping Ronda's arm bars. probably the most used, basic submission, but Ronda mastered it pretty much. along with a Judo throw that would surprise anybody, including the men. Rondas last fight was a KO but she rushed Bethe Correia who was scared to get in the clinch. pretty much brawling to over whelm. there was no where for Bethe to go but to take the shots that knocked her ass out. can't hug, and she knew she would get submitted if she went to the ground.

Holms last fight was against a good fighter. good striker and good jiu jitsu, but ol' girl was scared as fuck of Holly's kicks flying by. the girl Holly beat (on paper) would have a better chance of beating Ronda than Holm.

but yeah, this Holly fight is wack. i get it from UFC's perspective, but UFC's perspective is shitty a majority of the time.

Nate Diaz vs. Michael Johnson just got announced for UFC on Fox in December

Nate Diaz Returns in Dec. to Face Johnson | UFC &reg - News

Returning to the Octagon for the first time in a year, fan favorite Nate Diaz will take on the number five-ranked lightweight in the world, Michael "The Menace" Johnson in UFC Fight Night action in Orlando, Florida on December 19.

In the main event at Amway Center, which airs live on FOX, Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone challenges for a UFC title for the first time when he battles lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos in a highly-anticipated rematch.

Stockton, California's Diaz, ranked 14th at 155 pounds, has been on the sidelines since a December 2014 loss to current champion Rafael Dos Anjos. Prior to that defeat, Diaz had won four of his previous six bouts, including victories over Donald Cerrone, Takanori Homi and Gray Maynard.

On the fast track to a lightweight title shot after winning four straight, Florida's Johnson hit a detour earlier this month after losing a highly-controversial three-round split decision to Beneil Dariush. But a decisive win over Diaz will likely put "The Menace" back in the title picture.

Junior Dos Santos vs. Alistair Overeem co-headlines UFC on FOX 17

Alistair Overeem and Junior dos Santos are finally going to do the damn thing, UFC officials today announced.

Overeem (39-14 MMA, 4-3 UFC), who’s ranked No. 7 in the NOS Energy Drink MMA heavyweight rankings, and No. 3-ranked Dos Santos (17-3 MMA, 11-2 UFC) have bickered on social media, and now they’ve been booked for a fight at UFC on FOX 17.

UFC on FOX 17 takes place Dec. 19 at Orlando, Fla.’s Amway Center. The main card airs on FOX following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Dos Santos, a former heavyweight champion, and Overeem are slated for the co-main-event slot. It’s the third scheduled meeting between the vets; the first two fell apart.

Overeem has posted back-to-back wins over Stefan Struve and Roy Nelson, and how’s 3-1 over his past four fights. The 35-year-old former Strikeforce champion also picked up a victory over ex-UFC titleholder Frank Mir during the recent run of success.

Stefan Struve vs. Jared Rosholt targeted for UFC 193 in Australia

A heavyweight bout between Stefan Struve (26-7 MMA, 10-5 UFC) and Jared Rosholt is in the works for November’s UFC 193 event in Australia.

A source close to the event today confirmed the planned bout with MMAjunkie. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the fight hasn’t been formally announced.

With welterweight champ Robbie Lawler vs. Carlos Condit headlining, UFC 193 takes place Sunday, Nov. 15, in Melbourne. Due to the time difference, the pay-per-view main card, which follows prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass, airs in North America on Saturday, Nov. 14.

The bout order hasn’t been finalized.

Struve is ranked No. 12 in the NOS Energy Drink MMA heavyweight rankings. Rosholt is unranked.

Struve recently rebounded from back-to-back knockout losses to Mark Hunt and Alistair Overeem with a unanimous-decision victory over vet Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in April. Prior to the pair of losses, the 27-year-old Dutchman, who had been sidelined by a heart condition, had climbed up the heavyweight ranks with a four-fight winning streak that included three fight-fight bonuses.

He now meets Rosholt, who’s earned back-to-back wins over Josh Copeland and Timothy Johnson. The 29-year-old, who was a three-time NCAA Division I All-American wrestler, is now 9-1 over his past 10 fights. The lone defeat during that stretch came via first-round knockout to Oleksiy Oliynyk in 2014.

With the addition to the card, UFC 193 now includes:

Robbie Lawler vs. Carlos Condit
Mark Hunt vs. Antonio Silva
Michael Bisping vs. Robert Whittaker
Jared Rosholt vs. Stefan Struve
Akbarh Arreola vs. Jake Matthews
Kyle Noke vs. Peter Sobotta
Anthony Perosh vs. Gian Villante
Ricardo Abreu vs. Daniel Kelly
Steven Kennedy vs. Richard Walsh
Brendan O’Reilly vs. William Macario

Frankie Edgar vs. Chad Mendes headlines The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale

The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale will be headlined by one heck of a featherweight matchup, as former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar (19-4-1 MMA, 13-4-1 UFC) meets three-time title challenger Chad Mendes (17-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC).

Brazilian website Lancenet first reported the booking, and MMAjunkie subsequently confirmed the contest with multiple people with knowledge of the booking who spoke in the condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to publicly discuss such matters. Verbal agreements are in place from both sides, and bout agreements are expected to be finalized soon.

Edgar is currently ranked No. 3 in the latest NOS Energy Drink MMA featherweight rankings, while Mendes checks in at No. 5. Edgar also sits at No. 15 on the latest pound-for-pound list.

UFC officials were not immediately available for comment.

The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale, which will also conclude the soon-to-debut 22nd season of the “TUF” reality series, takes place on Dec. 11 t a Las Vegas venue yet to be announced and is expected to air on FOX Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.

Edgar had repeatedly offered his willingness to fight anybody in everybody in the 145-pound division as he seals his second shot at the UFC featherweight title, and “The Answer” certainly backed up his claims by taking on Mendes. Edgar brings a four-fight winning streak to the cage after downing Urijah Faber, Cub Swanson, B.J. Penn and Charles Oliveira.

Meanwhile, Mendes also hopes to secure another shot at the title. He’s fallen short in two previous attempts to unseat current champ Jose Aldo and also suffered a loss to current interim champ Conor McGregor in a bout he took on very short notice at July’s UFC 189 event. Now he looks for redemption and – likely – another title shot with a win.

With the addition to the card, The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale now includes:

Frankie Edgar vs. Chad Mendes
Tony Ferguson vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov
Evan Dunham vs. Joe Lauzon
Ryan LaFlare vs. Mike Pierce

Charles Oliveira released from hospital, UFC announces

UFC featherweight Charles Oliveira was released from a hospital today and came back negative for serious injuries following his headliner at Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 74.

Although his manager, Wade Hampel, told MMAjunkie that Oliveira suffered a “micro-tear” in his esophagus, necessitating a five-day wait period before considering surgery, the promotion announced “preliminary test results for major chest, neck or throat injuries were negative.”

“Oliveira will have a follow up appointment with his local physician upon returning home,” said the statement, released on the UFC’s official website on Tuesday afternoon. “Oliveira is in good spirits and appreciates the support he’s received from his fans during this time.”

The lanky Brazilian was in the midst of a headliner opposite Max Holloway when he lunged for a takedown and wound up on his back. When Holloway (14-3 MMA, 10-3 UFC) stood up and walked away, Oliveira (20-5 MMA, 8-5 UFC) got to his feet, but suddenly clutched his collarbone and turned away. Referee Herb Dean stepped in, calling a halt to the bout at the 1:39 mark of the first round and awarding Holloway a win via TKO.

UFC Fight Night 74 took place at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, and aired live on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Initially, speculation pointed to a shoulder injury for Oliveira, whose loss snapped a four-fight win streak. MMAjunkie subsequently reported that he suffered an esophagus tear, citing a UFC PR official and the promotion’s longtime medical consultant, Dr. Jeff Davidson.

Hampel said today that Oliveira was simply monitoring his injury and was unaware of his client’s release from the hospital. He said he would have more information when he spoke to the fighter’s coach.

But according to the UFC, the fighter is on his way toward recovery after a disappointing ending to his most recent octagon appearance.

LMAO the UFC is selling female fighters fight used tops and bottoms on their official UFC website for $500 and up. This is some weirdo shit. Some creepy 40 year old virgin is about to drop $1000 to sniff Michelle Waterson's used fight shorts lol

Creepy: UFC is selling used Reebok Joanne Calderwood sports bra, Michelle Waterson fight bottoms for a $1,000 each

Dear, MMA stop being creepy. Hope fighters at least make money off these UFC Store "collector’s items". Beyond the weird factor do you think UFC fighters get a percentage of the sale from their used fight gear the UFC Store is pushing?

For the kinky alert push notification you just got on your phone, the UFC is now selling used Reebok sports bras and fight shorts on their official online UFC Store. Maybe, just maybe you are a glass half full person and want to believe that someone is going to take a used Joanne Calderwood sports bra and bronze it or frame it to hang in their office. In this reality you could also probably turn that half full glass of water into a half full glass of wine and nothing pervy will happen to the used female Reebok fight gear the UFC is selling.

The UFC is this close to selling used fight bottomed from their female fighters. Oh wait they are already are. Don't be creepy online MMA fetish community. To float your boat or get your engine running it will cost you $999.95 for Waterson's used shorts and $1,249.95 plus shipping and handling for Calderwood's already worn sports bra. It will cost you a pretty penny but the UFC Store is actively encouraging you to let your freak flag fly this weekend.

Never mind, it ain't really as serious or weird as that article made it out to be. I actually went to the UFC store and they're selling fight worn stuff from EVERY fighter on the roster pretty much, men and women. Article made it seem like they were only selling women's stuff.

Robbie Lawler is out of the fight with Condit, hurt his thumb. UFC moved Ronda vs. Holm up to November to replace it.

I know they're going to still fight(postponed) but I was really looking forward to this fight, might be a blessing in disguise tho if u think about it, gives Robbie a little more time to heal up after that WAR with Rory Mac.

Bitch has to eat, let he make her $$$. Also, remember Tyson/Douglas? Holm could get a knockout if Rousey takes her lightly.
