Following War Machine‘s alleged assault on former girlfriend and porn star Christy Mack, a reality-show bounty hunter has given the fighter 24 hours to turn himself in to authorities.

Once the deadline ends, Duane Chapman (formerly of “Dog the Bounty Hunter” fame, and now starring in “Dog and Beth: On the Hunt” on CMT) says he’ll track down the fighter.

War Machine is currently on the run after an alleged Aug. 8 assault of Mack. The fighter has claimed his innocence, though Mack has posted a chilling account and disturbing photos of the alleged incident. According to Mack, War Machine entered her Las Vegas home and forced her to strip, badly beat her, broke multiple bones and stabbed her.

Champman issued the following warning on Twitter:

Although it’s hard to tell if Chapman’s threat is genuine or merely an opportunity to publicize his show, it’s bringing more attention to War Machine, who’s gone silent on Twitter over the past couple days.

The fighter (formerly Jon Koppenhvaer before a legal name change) is currently wanted in Las Vegas on a variety of charges, including felony assault with a deadly weapon and felony domestic violence.

War Machine, who had a brief stint with the UFC from 2007-2008, hasn’t fought professionally since November, when he suffered a submission loss to Ron Keslar at Bellator 104. The organization released the 32-year-old fighter this past week following Mack’s allegations.

Everyone says that, but why did she continue to post twitter pics of them together and respond to his lovey dovey talk all the time? I'm sure the white knight crusade would still come to the rescue of say, your sister, if she were in the same situation. What this piece of shit did to her was completely out of bounds, whether it be a crack whore or the fictional upstanding, wholesome woman of the community. The brutal description of the attack and pictures she published push this situation far beyond a double standard.

What I find funny are all the guys, young and old, that say shit like "She cheated on a guy named War Machine, what did she expect?" or a variation of this. It's amusing to see how many young men are basically sexist and agree with domestic violence if a sexual object 'cheats'. It speaks to the shitty parenting and guidance they received growing up. Take a look at the criminal complaint filed against War Machine

War Machine, aka Jonathan Koppenhaver, is sought by Las Vegas police in connection with a brutal assault that left former girlfriend and porn star Christy Mack in the hospital. He’s still at large.

Although reports say police are searching for War Machine in his last known home city of San Diego, the city’s public information office on Tuesday told MMAjunkie that it hadn’t been contacted by Las Vegas police or notified of any manhunt.

The Las Vegas district attorney’s office is nevertheless proceeding against War Machine and filed a criminal complaint on Monday in Clark County Justice Court. The document contains the allegations against the fighter in seven separate counts of criminal behavior.

The document also reveals the identity of a man that Mack named in her public statement about the alleged assault on Aug. 8, which left Mack with multiple broken bones and stab wounds. War Machine allegedly beat them both and sexually assaulted Mack before reportedly fleeing her Las Vegas residence.

War Machine has denied all of the allegations against him and said he was trying to surprise Mack with an engagement ring. Mack said the two broke up in May.

An attempt to reach War Machine through a friend was unsuccessful. In the wake of the incident, the MMA community has overwhelmingly turned its back on the troubled fighter. His promoter, Bellator MMA, severed ties with the fighter when the alleged crime came to light.

War Machine (14-5), who had a brief stint with the UFC following his run on “The Ultimate Fighter 6″ reality series, most recently fought in October 2013, when he suffered a loss to Ron Keslar in the semifinal round of Bellator’s Season 9 welterweight tournament.

UFC champion Jon Jones has apologized for the injury that recently forced a rescheduling of his title fight with Daniel Cormier, and he said he’s set to undergo surgery on Thursday.

Jones (20-1 MMA, 14-1 UFC), who was slated to Cormier (15-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) on Sept. 27 in UFC 178’s pay-per-view headliner, instead will meet his rival on Jan. 3 at UFC 182.

As MMAjunkie reported Tuesday, Jones suffered a torn meniscus and a sprained ankle during a wrestling practice, and UFC officials were forced to reschedule the Las Vegas fight while also shuffling the UFC 177 and UFC 178 lineups.

The injury was a tough blow for both the organization and fight fans, as well as Cormier (who expressed his frustration following the official rescheduling).
