I know Canelo vs Chavez is in May, but check out this picture of Chavez from training camp:

Lol I don't think I've ever seen Chavez so ripped, Memo works wonders. Still think he's gonna lose but noce to see he's taking this fight seriously.

Hopefully they do pick it up but at least it's easy to find good quality UK streams.

I love that HBO card coming up, even though the WBA strikes again having a million champions so the WBO wouldn't allow a unification with anyone other than Corrales and then the same day you have the dope Flanagan Vs. Petrov card.

This month is stacked with quality.

Fuck that kid is freak of nature. lomachenko makes these other fighters look terrible. I'm sure they can't stand watching themselves on film getting humiliated like that. I'd love to see him fight rigondeaux obviously, Mikey Garcia is a great fight as well but probably just as unlikely to happen. The Salido rematch is overdue, and I liked the comments about that in the post fight

His style is entertaining as he'll though, whoever he fights. The matrix looking gloves were sick. Hi tek baby.

The other Ukrainians also did a great job.

Little late but Loma looked great as always. He did a lot more showboating this fight, seemed like Sosa talked some shit and Loma wanted to embarrass him. I don't think too highly of Sosa though, obviously a damn crime he got a MD against Walters couple years back, easily one of the worst decisions that year.

Anyways, I notice a number of mainstream media is covering Loma, which is nice we just don't see it often with the little guys, Deadspin for example has wrote a number of articles about him, this one after the fight

Jason Sosa Gets In Vasyl Lomachenko’s Ear, Is Mocked And Humiliated

And a lot to my surprise aren't just hype pieces, a lot of articles getting into the science of his game, equally important is a lot of these writers are young and/or have young audiences, which indicates Loma is a pretty big hit with the younger fans and that a lot of young fans are getting into or at least exposed to the sweet science, maybe a higher understanding of the game which is great post Mayweather-Pacquiao.

Then there was Oleksandr Usyk, another fight another win. Just his tenth pro fight but like Loma it feels like he a seasoned veteran with his quality opponents. Two guys you really can't miss.

April 22nd card on showtime looks dope!

Was hoping the Joshua v Klits fight was gonna be on HBO. Guess I have to stream it now...
Hopefully they do pick it up but at least it's easy to find good quality UK streams.

.
According to ESPN we'll get an announcement for the US broadcast real soon. I didn't realize they both had active contracts with rival networks HBO & Showtime so that had been the hold up. From Fat Dan:

There is another $3-million plus on the table from American networks Showtime and HBO, who, according to sources with knowledge of the situation, have already made deals with Joshua promoter Matchroom Boxing and Klitschko promoter K2 Promotions.

But it has been a difficult process because Showtime has a contract with Joshua and HBO has one with Klitschko and neither is willing, understandably, to give up its rights. So they had to figure out how to make it work because this is not a pay-per-view fight in the United States like Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao or Lennox Lewis-Mike Tyson ...

So for the past few months, Showtime and HBO have been trying to work out a deal they can both live with that will assure U.S. television coverage. They’re not there quite yet, hence the reason why the American television plans have not been announced.

According to the sources, the networks have agreed to the most significant basic deal point, that Showtime will air the fight live in the late afternoon/early evening and HBO will present a tape-delay of the fight a few hours later in prime time. Showtime would pay more for the fight because it has the live airing and HBO would pay quite a bit less to show it on tape.

So there it is. All that's left is crossing the T's and dotting the i's.

As far as the fight, I'm sure we're all thinking the same thing - if Joshua beats Klitschko, hopefully in spectacular fashion, that will set up a potential yuuuge showdown with Deontay Wilder. Easily the biggest USA VS UK heavyweight fight since Tyson vs Lewis.

I don't know if people realize this, but Joshua vs Klitschko sold out over 90,000 tickets at Wembley Stadium in minutes. It's going to be fucking massive (and maybe Froch will stop reminding people every interview that he sold 80,000 tickets against Groves at Wembley, well probably not lol).

Deontay Wilder vs Joshua will be a truly huge international event. It's too bad though some of the Deontay hype had to slow down a bit after breaking his hand in his last fight, but still I'm sure the publicity will be off the chains and no doubt some pre-fight antics by Wilder and his mouth will get people roudy. Getting ahead of myself for sure, but I have no reason to believe Klitschko has anything left after his embarrassing performance against Tyson Fury, where he fought absolutely petrified to get punched.
