Btw did anyone see that Joshua Clottey is fighting on Floyd vs Canelo? Unfortunately for him its at a different venue...in New York. On an undercard...against a bum lol.

But I'd still like to see him back in the mix him against guys like Keith Thurman, Andre Berto, Ortiz, etc would be interesting match ups.

The only way Mitchell survives is if he runs like he did against Banks the 2nd time around lol. Got Em!!

He's a middleweight now from what I read. He was crazy skilled and tough. Just too tentative in the ring.

Kind of a down month for boxing :eek:/

Only reason I say that is, I think he knows he's not bulletproof now. I think up until the loss, he thought he could just bounce back and muscle his way to a win. Arreola has always fought that way. Even when he's getting hammered, he still thinks one of his punches can end a fight which to some extent is true. Banks is as good an opponent as Arreola has beaten if I remember off hand. I think Mitchell will be content to box and avoid contact if the going gets tough. He also has shown me that he's content and happy to win a boring decision if it means getting him what he wants, a shot at the title. Arreola doesn't hold that same mentality. It's like all or nothing with him.

Well, he didn't quit, but I knew he wasn't going to win. He hasn't had it for awhile now. He hasn't looked good since the 3rd Vasquez fight. He's had flashes of who he used to be, but this happens to most guys that have been in a lot of tough fights.

Man, I went to that first Marquez/Vasquez fight and I was pulling for Vasquez. I actually hadn't ever seen Marquez fight but I loved Vasquez. Marquez had more fans there and I couldn't believe Vasquez quit. I was kinda pulling for Marquez in the 2nd fight, and he lost lol The 3rd fight is one of the top 3 fights I've ever seen, better than Corrales/Castillo to me. Only fight that I personally rate that high is Gatti/Ward 1
