More nervous than anything, Hopkins is damn near 50. If Hopkins has anything left I think he can school Cloud, but Cloud is a strong powerful fighter that will keep coming so I worry the old man will have the energy and legs.

I'm really interested in Keith Thurman on the undercard too. This fight should tell us how he reacts to a fighter with a pretty good chin and boxers skills.

Big Nipple Arreola was supposed to be on the card to put reschedule for the fifth time. I don't remember another fight pushed back so many times.

I think he could school him too but I also think that Cloud looked like he trained half-assed for that fight against Campillo. Might see a lot more tenacity out of him this go round but I expect BHOP to be ready of course. I doubt he's anywhere near as strong as Pascal in the ring but who knows

Cloud said he felt lethargic and lacked energy against Campillo and he's specifically training at Big Bear for the first time to work on his conditioning. For what its worth he's said he's had his best camp ever, but lots of guys say that so we'll see. I still think he's a dangerous fighter for anyone because the man is powerful and heavy handed. He doesn't have true one punch KO but his punches definitely hurt people.

i asked a retarded question had to edit. When is Gary Russell Jr. gonna fight an elite fighter. He needs to move up in weight if he has too?

That's why I became a fan of Cloud, his intensity. Interesting note I read an article with Nazim he said he has not allowed Hopkins to watch the Campillo - Cloud fight. He says he doesn't believe that was a true representation of Cloud and doesn't want Hopkins to get the wrong idea of Cloud and think he's soft. He only had Hopkins watch amateur tapes of Cloud and earlier pro career fights. Interesting strategy.

Did you watch him? He looked good against the durable Russian. He has a lot weapons in his arsenal, great jab, blazing fast hands, decent power in both hands and he mixes in viscous body shots which I love. A southpaw who is very technically sound but at the same time very offensive minded with a high work rate? Gotta love it. I think his next fight will be another step up and maybe a fight against Mikey Garcia by the end of the year.

I think Russell Jr. has shown every reason to believe that he is a super star in the making. Who knows how good of a chin he has but someone may never get to that chin with the way he fights. I'm really disappointed in his handlers for the way they've brought him along though.

So Russell Jr. has fought absolutely no one is a super star in the making but Broner who beat the top guy at 135 gets no cred is not a super star in the making? Haha just pure hating and biasness lol. Got Em!!

No doubt they're both super stars in the making, but what turns off alot of ppl to broner is his attitude about the game. I know dude is tryna market himself like that, but thats not how u go about urself. Theres your difference. Its not hating, it has to do with class and broner has zero.

lol I think Broner will get beat and yeah, he'll probably be a superstar too though before that happens. Shoot, at this rate, Russell will only fight 2 title fights before he retires though so I guess I'm totally wrong.
