^^ I dont know if Rigo can get fighter by beating Agbeko.

In the running for Fighter of the year to me are Mayweather, Stevenson, Garcia, Rigo, or Bradley.
Rigondeaux beat Donaire this year which was a bigger and more significant win than anyone else this year.

I think its between Stevenson and Rigondeaux since Stevenson did beat the lineal champ in Dawson.

Showtime and them stacked cards to end the year. Come on Devon get that highlight reel KO so you can get a big fight. Dirrell vs. Bika should be a war. Trout vs. Lara winner will be on track for Canelo. Paulie vs. Judah is a fight im looking forward to, two vets going at it for the king of Brooklyn. Good night of boxing. Plus Rigo and Kirkland back in action on HBO. Thank u boxing gods.

There are almost TOO MANY good fights to keep track of! On top of that Keith Thurman vs Soto-Karass, Barker vs Sturm, Shumenov, Josito Lopez return and more. Crazy December!

Mayweather defended his 147lb lineal title and schooled the Ghost, then won another lineal title at 154lb by beating an undefeated Canelo, and i remember the thread talking about Mayweather would duck Canelo. Mayweather didnt duck at all he gave Canelo a boxing lesson.

Danny Garcia beat up the big bad wolf Lucas that was suppose to knock his head off, plus he won the lineal 140lb title.

Bradley fight of the year with Provo, and made Marquez look old as fuck.

Good year of boxing either way.

Bradley was a huge favorite and nearly lost that fight. Would have been a draw if the ref would have correctly ruled the first KD a KD instead of a slip. That was probably Bradley's worst fight of his career (awesome fight though!).

Mayweather beat two guys he was big favorites over. Yeah some crazy canelo fans and/or typical Floyd haters said he would duck Canelo but thats just dumb fan talk. Fact was Canelo never really beat anyone other than Trout which was super super close. The Ghost was a decent win. Good year for Mayweather (especially his bank account).

To me, Rigondeaux's absolute domination over the unified, lineal champion in Donaire, pound 4 pound #5 fighter and 2012's Fighter of the year is far more significant.

Naw I think Floyd beating Canelo was just as big as Rigo beating Donaire. There were a lot of folks that really thought Canelo was the guy to finally beat Floyd. I aint talking just Canelo fans either. There a lot of upset excitement in the air that night and leading up to the fight. I say Floyd should get it but it doesnt matter really. Floyd has pretty much accomplished everything. Got Em!!

I think beating Donaire was huge, but the Agbeko win doesn't do anything for him in my opinion. Agbeko has been a ghost and lost most of his last few fights, albeit to good competition.

Floyd's opponents weren't great but those were fights that fans wanted. Guerrero represented the come forward/pressure fighter with a good chin that people wanted to see, and Floyd embarrassed him. Canelo represented youth, power, size etc... and was embarrassed. And it was on the biggest stage in boxing. Floyd was masterful. Rigo won and he was impressive, but he wasn't unscathed.

I could actually see Marquez still winning it despite losing to Bradley. I thought he lost by a wide margin, but there's no question that the most emphatic and biggest win of anyone's career was Marquez knocking out Pacquiao.

Canelo wasn't anywhere near as accomplished as Donaire, man. He win his title from Matthew Hatton. Best win was a razor thin decision over Trout. Two different leagues.

Quality of opponents though.

I'm not saying Bradley shouldn't be in the conversation, only I think there are a few guys a head of him.

I don't disagree at all. Guerrero has been one of my favorite fighters for years but I don't think he was an elite fighter by any means. I think the Canelo fight was a tough decision for a lot of people to make, myself included. That doesn't make him a world beater though either. I realize that. But he flat out schooled both of those guys. I think it also says something that Floyd was under an intense spotlight for both training camps and fights. Any of the guys who win it this year are deserving in my opinion, but if I had to pick someone, I'd say Floyd.
