So Broner came in just .4 pounds over weight and dude didn't even attempt to shed the weight in the two hours he was given. He was stripped of the WBA title which is now vacant (Theophane can win the title provided he wins the fight).

There are a bunch of good, meaningful fights this month ur trippin.

Pac vs Bradley not selling big on PPV doesn't change the fact it's the two best welterweights fighting eachother. Anytime you get a #1 vs #2 it's a good thing (although I see for some bizarre reason The Ring has Kell Brook #1 even though he's done fuck all to deserve it).

Golovkin vs Wade is a mandatory fight, it is what it is. The two other title holders, Canela and Saunders, turned Golovkin down so he's forced to fight his mandatory. Significant in an interesting way that this an Al Haymon fighter on HBO. Roman Gonzalez on the undercard so we get to see a couple of the most entertaining fighters in the same card, so that's cool. Both fights are to set up bigger fights later this year.

Anthony Joshua vs Martin for the IBF heavyweight title is obviously very significant. If Joshua wins this puts him into a massive spotlight which will obviously lead to massive fights (Tyson Fury, Wilder/Povetkin, Ortiz).

Errol Spence vs Algeiri. Significant fight here for Spence, being it's his first fight against a "name" opponent with credentials. Big opportunity for Spence to shine.

Additionally a bunch of title fights and title eliminaters. Also, for pure entertainment value, Berto vs Ortiz II. First fight was obviously a classic and even if this fight isn't anything like that, I can guarantee some whacky, controversial shit will happen.

All said, this is better than the last few months without a doubt and it sets up the upcoming months very well.

Always happens like that in the UK. He should have got up at 8 instead of waiting till last moment, ref may have thought that was a sign of resignation. Regardless, that's got to be the shortest heavyweight reign of all time lol three months he was champion. And the way he won it, on an injury makes it the weakest heavyweight champion of all time.

Now that he's out of the way, a collision course between Joshua, Ortiz, Wilder, Povetkin and Fury is in full effect. Fury just has to beat Wlad again which I think he will, and may the best man win in Russia between Wilder and Povetkin!
