What an idiot.

Danny Garcia confirms he was offered Pacquiao fight and rejected it. Said he was offered $4 million guarantee but he deserves $10 million.

These clowns are so dumb. Bradley got $4m minimum + upside in his last fight with Pac. Brandon Rios less than that and so on. Likewise for Mayweather opponents of that caliber, Guerrero $3m guaranteed, Maidana $4 million for his rematch with Floyd and for the first fight just $1.5 million.

I don't know what these guys are expecting. The opportunity to fight Pacquiao is far bigger and better than anything Garcia is going to get any time soon. It's just dumb moves by Garcia & Broner. These guys think they should be getting $10 million paydays, which is crazy talk considering no one gets paid like that unless you are Mayweather/Pacquiao/Canelo/Cotto (i.e the biggest stars of the sport) and these guys Garcia and Broner aren't big time. But they'll be worth even more after the fight, especially if they got a win or just look good in an entertaining fight. Bad business.

The truth is, Broner isn't even worth $1 mill! Garcia is the champ but at the most $5 mill. It's gonna be between Vargas and Matthysse. I wouldn't be surprised if it were Khan though.

Garcia's biggest purse to date was $2m against Guerrero and before that he was typically getting between $1m to $1.5m. The only acceptable excuse is if he has inside knowledge he's getting a Mayweather fight, but the rumors are he's going to fight Berto so let's do the math - $2m max for Berto in a fight no one really cares about OR $4m + upside in a big PPV by far the biggest fight of his career? Goes with less money/less exposure lol great logic. Again though, if he knows he's getting Mayweather, ok cool. Broner on the other hand has no excuse.

There are a bunch of fighters these days that are self entitled cunts that turn down big fights because they price themselves out - Danny Jacobs wanting $4-$5m for a Golovkin fight, Saunders wanting $4m as well, as if any network would pay that kind of money when that is usually the purse for Mayweather/Pacquiao money! Santa Cruz demanding at least $3m to fight Rigondeaux and so on.

Meanwhile, One Time Keith Thurman said he'll gladly take that deal for a Pacquiao fight right now. He knows the deal, he knows how huge a Pacquiao fight is for his career and legacy, something most of these other PBC fighters apparently don't care about. I unfortunately for Thurman I don't see Top Rank offering him a fight with Pac. I think clearly if Pac comes back for a fight or two, it's not to prove he's the best or anything like that, just wants a nice paycheck against guys close to his own size and not too risky (hence offering fights to Garcia and Broner). They aren't going to put old past prime Pacquiao against some young hungry heavy hitter like Thurman or Spence, he's not out to prove anything just wants a decent fight for his fans and of course the money. He may not come back at all, we'll see though.

Rumor on the streets is Miguel Cotto is offering fights to Keith Thurman & Danny Garcia at 150 pounds. Both would be AWESOME FIGHTS!

Also they're saying almost certainly Cotto's next fight will be in Orlando on Dec 3rd, since New York essentially KILLED boxing by their new insurance laws. Let me give you a quick example - for each fighter that fights in New York, the promoter has to put up $1 million dollars for insurance. That means if you have a full card of lets say, 8 fights total (3 or 4 televised fights, the rest not on TV), the promoter has to put up $16 million in advance! New York essentially killed combat sports in the state because of this new rule SMDH.

Anyways, here is a source to the Cotto rumors. I'm hoping it's Keith Thurman.

LONDON -- World heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury was provisionally suspended in June after testing positive for a banned substance, Britain's anti-doping body said Wednesday.

However, UKAD said in a statement that Fury and his cousin Hughie, a heavyweight boxer who was also suspended, have had their bans lifted "pending full determination of the charges."

The boxers were charged on June 24 over the "presence of a prohibited substance," UKAD said, and mandatory provisional suspensions were imposed.

U.K. anti-doping rules allow athletes to challenge a provisional suspension and the National Anti-Doping Panel lifted the bans. A hearing of the charges will be heard "in due course," UKAD said.

Tyson Fury, 27, holds the WBO and WBA heavyweight belts after beating Wladimir Klitschko in November to end the Ukrainian fighter's near-decade-long reign as champion. A rematch scheduled for July 9 in Manchester was postponed because of an ankle injury to Fury.

Fury announced the postponement of the fight on the day he was charged by UKAD.

Fury's lawyer said in a statement on Tuesday that he was suing UKAD over allegations that performance-enhancing drugs had been used.

`'The two boxers strenuously deny taking any performance-enhancing drugs," said the lawyer, Lewis Power. `'However, during the last five weeks, leaks about these charges have appeared in the press and both boxers have been the targets of continual abusive language on Twitter."

Peter Fury, the father of Hughie and uncle of Tyson, trains both fighters. He welcomed the news that they were free to fight.

"To all our fans. Ukad suspension Lifted & T @tyson -Fury @hughiefury can & will be fighting with full go ahead from tribunal," Peter Fury said on Twitter on Wednesday. "Truth!! Amen."

Hughie Fury has won all 20 of his fights as a pro. Tyson Fury is unbeaten in 25 pro fights.

Pac vs Vargas is some weak ass shit!! I rather see pac fight broners ass or 1 time!!
Hell yeah, I have no interest in it either m

I'm not gonna criticize it though, it's just not a fight for me to get excited about. Vargas is the WBO champion and if he wants to defend it against Pacquiao, fine by me, especial since Vargas was trying to fight Kell Brook but Brook ended up going with Golovkin.

The good news about this is this means Pacquiao will be fighting at least one more time, which means they are building up to a Crawford fight. That's a dope fight. So we'll have Pacquiao vs Vargas for Vargas's WBO title and Crawford will defend his 140 title against someone and they'll have a big fight against each other mid next year, I assume between April and May. That's a fight everyone could get around. I'd prefer they just do it now, bit you know how Bob Arum works - fighting in-house between everyone he can first then make the big fight, classic Bob strategy.

Broner and Garcia were dummies though, they could have made over $4m for a Pac fight now. Instead Garcia is fighting Berto for like $1.5m give or take and who knows what the hell Broner will do. I'm guessing PBC is building up to a Garcia vs Thurman fight for mid next year as well (dope fight as well).

Pacquiao straight ducked Crawford!

Pacquiao's Adviser on Rejecting Crawford: I Don't Like His Style!
As previously reported, eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao has selected World Boxing Organization [WBO] welterweight champion Jessie Vargas as the preferred opponent of choice for November 5th at the Thomas & Mack Center.Pacquiao announced his retirement in April after winning a twelve round unanimous decision over Timothy Bradley, and then won a senatorial seat in the Philippines the following month.

By June there were already whispers of a Pacquiao comeback in the fall.

Pacquiao (58-6-2, 38 knockouts), 37-years-old, will be meeting with his promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, on August 10th to discuss the details of the November fight. Arum arrives in the Philippines on August 9th.

Originally the fight was targeted for a date in October at the MGM Grand, but Pacquiao's political duties created a conflict and the fight was moved.

Vargas (27-1, 10KOs) was always a frontrunner, but fans preferred a meeting between Pacquiao and WBO/WBC junior welterweight champion Terence Crawford.

Michael Koncz, the longtime adviser of Pacquiao, explained that Crawford's style was not to his liking.

“I don’t like Crawford’s style. I don’t believe it’s a style that suits Manny,” Koncz said to the Los Angeles Times. “His style [is the problem]! Leave it as his boxing style.”

“Retirement doesn’t suit Manny right now. Boxing is in his blood. When he trains, it’s like a pressure-release valve. You can see a dramatic difference in his mood … he’s happy. It’s amazing what training and fighting does for him.”

Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, had ruled out a Crawford meeting in the fall. Roach worked the corner of Viktor Postol two weeks ago, as he was dominated over twelve rounds by Crawford - who used a lot of movement, a good jab and accurate punching to win - abilities which gave Pacquiao trouble against Floyd Mayweather Jr. last May.

$25 says Crawford vs Pacquiao happens next year. Classic Bob Arum promoting (in-house fights, "marinate", etc). Why make that fight now when they can milk more money by having Pacquiao vs Vargas now? Crawford isn't going anywhere, uncle Bob knows it.

I will not order this PPV, else considering a real dope PPV will be the week before or after (can't remember which) with KOVALEV vs WARD!!

HBO analyst Max Kellerman was shaking his head over Pacquiao's selection of Vargas, who is 27-1 with 10 knockouts. Kellerman believes Pacquiao is only fighting for the money at this point, and bases that opinion on the obvious rejection of an easy to make fight against WBO/WBC junior welterweight champion Terence Crawford (29-0, 20KOs), who Kellerman views as a much tougher opponent and a bigger money fight for pay-per-view.

“Terence Crawford is one of the best fighters in boxing and he's sitting right there waiting for a fight with Pacquiao. He’s a very dangerous fight. That's a 50-50 type of fight. I think most boxing insiders might even favor Crawford in that one. And that's a bigger money fight than a fight against Jessie Vargas.

Vargas is a harder sell than Crawford. So if you’re coming back, and you’d rather fight the guy that’s harder to sell for the money for a pay-per-view fight than a guy that is easier to fight - what does that mean? It means you’re just doing it for money and you’re avoiding the bigger risk at this point," Kellerman said on ESPN's First Take.

"Vargas is a good dude, he's a broadcaster too. He's sometimes works for HBO and he's a real, genuine good dude. We had a fighter recently in the fighter meetings who said that he used to have nothing and how Jessie Vargas used to give him shoes, and the fighter's wife was there and started to cry because of how good of a dude Jessie Vargas is." "He's a good, solid fighter. He’s not bad, and he's not a big puncher, and he's the kind of guy where if he beats Pacquiao, that means Pacquiao is washed as a top level fighter. So the fact that Pacquiao chooses to fight Vargas instead of Crawford, it can only say one thing at this point - which is he’s just fighting for the money. He’s fighting for kind of a money grab while avoiding the bigger money against the more dangerous opponent. It doesn’t say good things about where he is at the moment."

"Vargas is not a puncher. He was able to hurt Timothy Bradley and scored a knockout in his last fight. You see the 10 knockouts and he's just not a puncher in either of the weight classes where he's campaigned. Terence Crawford is not only a superior boxer but he can also bang if you come right at him." - See more at: Kellerman: Pacquiao Doing a Money Grab, Crawford Was The Pick - Boxing News
