I've been playing it. The combat feels smoother than The Witcher 2. Some of the side quests start feeling a little repetitive but I've been focusing more on side quests than the main story. The environments are nice looking too. I haven't been playing any other games since it's come out and I don't think I'm close to the end of the story.

What level are you? I keep getting quests suggested level like 33 and I'm only level 6.

Also I was playing this in front of my wife and she called me a faggot. It's perty dorky stuff. Not for everyone

Now I'm level 24 but I did keep getting side quests for way higher levels. Still have a bunch of them I can't do yet. And yeah it is pretty nerdy but I'm into these types of games.

I suck at alchemy too. I can make like two fucking things no matter how ,any leaves I pick up. Does that get better or am I doing it wrong?

New DLC this week, suppose to be 18 total for free each drop is (2) - so far there already 4 free one out now & all these have nothing to do with the season pass

Still tho this game is massive as fuck, I jus hit lvl 15 (prolly 30+hrs)& still feel like I'm only quarter way through

If u like fallout with a games of thrones twist, def check this game out. This is my 1st in the series & was slow the 1st 5hrs but, if u get over that hump the game is solid as fuck

Looks like I'll be getting the expansion today. CD Projekt Red sure knows how to deliver.

Blood and Wine Reviews

Buffed (German) - Karsten Scholz - 95%
Blood and Wine is there now again a top of it and provides in terms scope and quality a price-performance ratio, which I have never seen in a paid add-on.

Destructoid - Chris Carter - 9 / 10.0
However many little nagging issues I have with Wild Hunt (the combat is still a bit too simplistic), Blood and Wine is the best The Witcher has ever been since the first game. I came in merely expecting a bigger Hearts of Stone, but ended up getting something more expansive in nearly every sense of the word.

Eurogamer - Johnny Chiodini - Essential
Blood and Wine is a fitting end to an exceptional video game.

Game Informer - Kimberley Wallace - 9.3 / 10.0
Blood and Wine is an impressive expansion that tells a captivating tale about betrayal and love

GameSpot - Kevin VanOrd - 8/10
Blood and Wine is quite good, quite big, and quite likely to make you glad to return to one of video games' most engaging worlds.

GamePressure - Elessar - 10 / 10
Blood and Wine is an adventure spanning many hours during which we'll get even more of what we’re already familiar with and a couple of new things thrown in the mix. Those of you who thought that Hearts of Stone had too much talk and too little action will be pleased this time.

GamesRadar+ - David Roberts - 4.5 / 5 stars
Blood and Wine is a gripping murder mystery set in a picturesque new locale, and a fitting end to the story of Geralt of Rivia.

Gamestar (German) - Maurice Weber - 90 / 100
Blood and Wine is a great addition to The Witcher 3 with a large area and loads of great ideas.

IGN - Leif Johnson - 9 / 10.0
Blood and Wine ends the saga of Geralt of Rivia in style, bringing with it a tale of charming vampires and troublesome friendship set in a stunning new landscape that departs from the bleakness we've known until now. The expansion also brings some welcome gameplay enhancements, including mutations, the ability to dye armor, and a vineyard for growing herbs. Most of all, it leaves Geralt in a good place.

PC Gamer - Tom Senior - 94 / 100
Even in its immutable, heavily cutscene driven form, The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine is an accomplished piece of genre fiction with some characters I'll come to miss. Pour a goblet of the red stuff and join them, you won't be disappointed.

Rock, Paper, Shotgun - Richard Cobbett - No Score
Much like Mass Effect III’s wonderful Citadel expansion, this last outing is as much a victory lap, to remind us of the good times and end in the right spirit.

Shacknews - Josh Hawkins - 9 / 10
One of my favorite things about Blood and Wine is the main storyline’s ending. After you’ve completed the story, CD Project Red brings everything to a close. This means your decisions throughout the base game’s main storyline is important, and it plays into one of the moments you come across as you finish up the final bit of the expansion’s main quest. It’s a nice touch to really help things feel connected, and to further hit home the impact that your choices have on the game world as a whole.

Twinfinite - Ishmael Romero - 5 / 5.0
To spend my final moments here was quite fitting – the darkness laying just beneath a dazzling surface, the vast threads meeting to create either your happy ending or your bittersweet reminders, and the adventures small and large that led there. It has been a life well lived, and if there are to be no more adventures, then a villa in Toussaint doesn’t sound like such a bad idea.

USgamer - Mike Williams - Review-In-Progress
Blood and Wine continues CD Projekt Red's streak of excellence. If you thought Hearts of Stone being great might've been a fluke, this expansion puts that idea to rest.

VideoGamer - Jamie Trinca - 9 / 10
Geralt’s final hours are his absolute best.
