Watch Dogs 1 would have been a good game, if not for the hype that was unrealistic. On its own, it's a pretty solid game with lots of areas of needed improvement. If they can build off that, improve the weak areas, this game could be sick as fuck. But it's Ubisoft, I've given up on them as of late.

Reviews are pretty good too. I've seen several comparisons of Assassins Creed 1 to AC2, such as this:

A sequel can turn a mediocre game into a superstar franchise. Just look at Assassin’s Creed II or Mega Man II; both improved upon decent originals and created long-running series. Watch Dogs isn’t quite that good, but it’s close.

Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs 2 is another open-world city game, similar to series like Grand Theft Auto and Saint’s Row. While its predecessor takes place in Chicago, the sequel has players running around Bay Area locations like San Francisco and Silicon Valley. The change in scenery is nice, but you’re still doing the same things you do in most of these Grand Theft Auto clones. You drive cars, steal cars, race cars, shoot things, sneak around things, and so on.

The big difference between this series and GTA is that you can hack things, so you can tap into nearby cameras or change traffic lights. Still, the gameplay is similar. But at least Watch Dogs 2, unlike its predecessor, isn’t too busy brooding over itself to have some fun. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...yfE8qhfrlLFz5snpw&sig2=NbtoHXKARUHNrSbq-5j6Xw

I may pick this up eventually, probably when it's on sale since I didn't think the first one was bad just needed areas of improvement. Fuck, I still gotta up Battlefield and I have a few other games I need to finish first.

glad to see the reviews are good. I preordered the gold edition. Bestbuy had some good promos at the time and i got suckered into getting newer games lol. Usually wait for games to get dirt cheap

So what's the verdict? Might pick this up if I see it on sale for the $30 black Friday deal.
I really like but it's not "fresh" like the 1st one was but this one has no bugs really and as u would expect the driving has been made a lot more realistic

Fresh, meaning the first one felt totally new and this feels like a continuation of the first game?

Is it fun though? That's what it boils down to. I think the first one suffered at times because it was too serious or some of the missions and stuff you had to do was tedious and not really fun. I hear WD2 is a lot more fun in that regard.

Yeah they took a good amount from the 1st one and things from GTA but it's hella fun to me also biased cuz it's based in the Bay. Only thing that has annoyed me is figuring out how to get to certain levels on buildings at times like this long side mission of spray painting shit on billboards.

How real is the Bay in the game? On the first one they made Chicago all retarded.

This gif makes me think they did a better job this time around:

its retarded to me as well. They have the bridge that could go to where i live but it goes to Oakland instead of Richmond lol. No Berkeley, Vallejo, or San Jose. They made sure to have Sausalito though. I think the game the Crew was the same way

Still haven't copped this game. The first one pissed me off cuz it kept freezing so I never played it again. Was this this worth picking up?
If you can get it on sale yeah. I think I got mine for $20 during the holidays. I haven't finished it but it's a lot better than the first one. The first watch dogs wasn't really bad, it just didn't live up to the hype and was too serious/boring at times. WD2 is more fun to play, a little more light hearted and pokes fun at itself often and there seems to be more shit to do. Definitely worth $20 or what you can find it for these days.
