This is an RPG game that takes place 1 billion years in the future on Earth. Supposedly an incredibly epic story/game, with advanced storytelling where your interactions with characters and choices you make have a massive amount of consequences. Think old school Fallout games and old school RPG games in general. This is basically a throwback to those but with more modern graphics. Or perhaps the recent Pillars of Eternity.

With how Fallout 4 kind of lacked in the RPG department and the lack of depth in a lot of the quests and side quests, this is considered by some as good a change of pace where rather than more action based its back to a much more interactive story with a personalized story based on your decisions. Looking forward to this myself assuming reviews remain solid. I'm not sold yet, I normally don't fuck with isometric games but if the story is as good as some people are claiming im down. Check it out:

-RPG pre-rendered 2.5D isometric perspective environment. This is made by some of the people who made the original Fallout games (Fallout 1 & 2), as well as the Wasteland games. If you played those you know what to expect.

Torment: Tides of Numenera is the thematic successor to Planescape: Torment, one of the most critically acclaimed and beloved role-playing games of all time. Torment: Tides of Numenera is a single-player, isometric, narrative-driven role-playing game set in Monte Cook’s Numenera universe, and brought to you by the creative team behind Planescape: Torment and the award-winning Wasteland 2.

*I haven't done a ton of research on this game, just heard about it hear and there over the past year. Apparently this was funded a lot by fans via a Kickstarter and raised a ton of money. While early Steam reviews give it a 9/10, I should note there is a bit of controversy on a forum for this game or on steam. Some of the backers are crying about some content being cut out of the game, and saying false promises, etc. From what I saw, honestly looks like some hardcore basement dwellers where gaming is their entire life and they just complain if anything isn't perfect, for example i saw one dude who made this massive post about how there isn't enough "conflict music" and because of that it's unacceptable and a ripoff lol idk how much I would read into the "controversy" on the forums so tske it with a grain of salt.
